    Luongo set for QPR switch

Socceroo midfield ace Massimo Luongo looks set to be playing in the English Championship next season after Swindon Town accepted an AUD$8 million offer from relegated Queens Park Rangers.
Despite strong interest from Premier League side Aston Villa, Luongo and team-mate Ben Gladwin will both be heading to Loftus Road on three-year deals once personal terms are agreed.
League One side Swindon lost their promotion playoff to Preston North End but there was never any doubt the 22-year-old Australian was moving on.
Clubs have been circling the Sydney-born player for the past two seasons and a standout Asian Cup in January, where he was named player of the tournament, only upped the stakes.
QPR face a massive overhaul since coming last in the Premier League and being dumped out of the topflight.
A host of out of contract veterans have been released including Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Richard Dunne, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Bobby Zamora and goalkeeper Brian Murphy.

    ".............. according to the convicts"

I think you'll find we sent all the real convicts and general riff-raff packing to NZ.:emoticon-0100-smile
Only the very finest gentlemen & ladies were chosen to remain, for which the country blossomed to the magnificence body of good folk we have today.
    With the kindest regards,

Sort of pleased but also slightly puzzled here. I thought we would be down to bargain basement with FFP fine looming etc.
As ever, I feel there must be matters behind closed doors that we will never be privy to.

Well just looking at the centre mid's as a small case example. If you think Barton gone and sell Fer say £8m. Spend 4m on two replacements at far cheaper wages with 4m in the bank that's comfortably meeting FFP
