I'm gonna go on record and say that i don't really rate him and he's doesn't seem to fit the bill for what we're looking for to compliment our existing big men.

lover is a totally different player so i don't think the comparrison is relevant. i think bendtner is better than shola and best but i wouldn't say he'd be that big an upgrade for the money it'd take to sign him.

    for - his age 23ish?
against - the wages he would expect

he never seems to get a run in the arsenal team, so i,d be on the fence as to what he would be like for us.
still would fancy a small, nippy striker to play off Ba / Best

Not for me. I think he's better than some give him credit for given the stop start nature of his career there, but I still think we need more. I really like the other lad a few have mentioned Vela. but my worry would be it isn't guaranteed goals. We need a guy 23-26 yr old just coming into his prime who loves scoring goals. Someone mentioned Barrios from Dortmund and he would be ideal, or Mario Gomez. Unfortunately I think these two although a perfect fit for our up coming one up front policy, I think they will be way out of our price bracket and we'd sturggle to attract them. German clubs never seem to have much problem holding onto their players either. I was having a look around to see who had scored what where. You are a little limited as an article suggested yesterday. There were a few who I just don't know like Papiss Demba Cisse, El Arabi, Maiga but they have impressive records.

I understand the opinion that we would like a smaller pacy striker to compliment Ba.
However, we seen last year that two big men can cause defences all sorts of problems; Put that with the fact we have increased the pace of the midfield and hopefully the quality of supply to the strikers, I dont see why two big men cannot work again.

Great shout, shame its highly unlikely :( Definitely need someone in that mould as you mentioned above. Bendtner would be a good signing imo, underrated and is usually the scapegoat which is very harsh. Scores his share of the goals, good with feet and good aerially but maybe not the out and out striker we need to partner Ba. How about Rodellega, rumours Villareal were after him for around 10 million. He's got a bit of flair and pace about him and can run defenders ragged when on form. Would still take Defoe even though he's in his late twenties but would he want to move here.

Mentioned Rodellega yesterday. i honestly think that fella would score a boat load here and become a fans hero.

The thing about Bendtner is he's very cocksure about his ability and playing with 'lesser' players if you like wouldn't faze him.
Would still be a gamble on our half, worth it imo.

This and also he has Premier experience.

I do wish Pardew would get his finger out and get us a top striker.

I don't think Bentdner has had a proper run in the team and seems to have done alright whenever ive watched him. He's early better than what we currently have, minus Ba. But the act that his ego is bigger than St. James' will be a problem, especially with his wages and Webger wanting around 10million for him.

Is he even on that much at Le Arse?
He doesn't really have an ego just rates his ability higher then it actually is (confidence in abundence) I actually think he would thrive given the chance to play regularly.

Meh... Ego/huge over confidence. Either way I think it's a bad attitude when you're part of a team. The wage thing is pure speculation from various figures being thrown around. I still think he's higher than our average though.
I can see him going to Dortmund or Hamburg mind. The Milan rumours are bound to be agent driven bs.

    I admire his confidence!
Yeah alot of rumors are generated by the sheer greed of agents. Could defo see him going to Dortmund mind.

    I'd love Rodallega, he's **** hot. With a better supply I reckon he'll be a cracker!

He's really quite terrible though, he scores the odd cracking goal and then does nothing in between.

I rate Rodallega, he's done well in a poor team. I read that Villareal are in for him (from the Sun, mind). Bendtner i think is a good player but maybe not what we need right now. And if things you hear about his attitude are true then he's probably best avoided. Better than Jay Bothroyd though :)

Bendter is arrogant and full of himself but he's got Prem experience. I'd take him if we got a chance.
