FIFA Officials Held On $100m Corruption Charges http://blink.htcsense.com/web/articleweb.aspx?regionid=3&articleid=42361915 Sent via BlinkFeed
The whole organisation is corrupt, and so is uefa and to a lesser account the individual FAs, there is just so much money in the game these days that accepting a bag of money is the norm
Yes, but ol' Seppy boy will still carry on regardless as it's nothing to do with him see, ........ he hasn't been arrested has he ? No ! good ol' Seppy ! Here's to his continuing for another ten years at least to steady the ship, wipe out corruption, get women playing in see through sports gear and have live soapy interviews in the shower room after ........
The man's a saint, misunderstood and invariably misqouted and taken out of context . He has vision and I like the idea of post match soapy interviews especially with the the Swedish Ladies footy team .....................................
The latest is that he's trying to get the election postponed , I wonder if that is because most of his supporters have been nicked ? Hmmmmm , I just hope that after this is all settled that they keep the soapy interviews idea ! Further update, 10 officials involved with the vote in relation to the 2018-2022 world cups are going to be interviewed as well !
Just another of the many tolerated corrupt bodies where big money is abundant and easy to pilfer if your at or near the top ! someone slipped up there getting in a position of not just being gable to bribe their way out of the arrest warrants being issued ?
It's been common knowledge for decades that FIFA is corrupt, and at last we are seeing some justice being served, and it has to be said that FIFA President Sepp Blatter can no longer continue and should do the right thing and resign, all this corruption has taken place under his watch, and his position in my view is untenable, he must go, and if not voluntarily, then he needs to be pushed. There are too many questions over Blatter himself, he has to go...................
England's Football Association said Wednesday's events "are very serious for Fifa and its current leadership". FA chairman Greg Dyke added that there "must be a question mark" over whether the presidential election should take place now. Damian Collins, a British member of parliament who has called for Fifa reform, said Blatter had failed to live up to his promises to stamp out corruption. "Because he has totally failed to do this, it has been left to an outside law enforcement agency to do the job and take action," said Collins. Former England captain Gary Lineker tweeted: "There can't be a more corrupt, deplorable organisation on earth than Fifa. The house of cards is falling. Time for change!"
The Swiss Attorney General has opened criminal proceedings against these acquired bids. They've also confirmed that there were bribes with the SA 2010 world cup bid.
It looks like that on the front facing media, but despite this being part Swiss action there is full knowledge that the whole investigation is being run by the FBI. The FBI have powers that most other agencies of its type don't, they can offer the seven Vice Presidents of FIFA reduced sentences or even immunity if they start naming people. Why go after Blatter on assumptions and loose evidence when they can get him and a hundred others through the mouths of the top rank? Blatter is probably ****ting himself. He was a fool to think the United States of America would allow its tax payers money to be wasted on rigged bids.
It makes you laugh that only now they are making arrests when every fan in the world could have told them 10 years ago the FiFa world body is taking bungs for favours and their vote for holding competitions. Of course some countries Fifa members are fair and just but some mainly south american fifa members and a few others are as bent as a nine bob note.......The biggest crook of all is sep bladder as i call him as you cant tell me that he as the most powerful man in Fifa did not know or has not took part in this long term corruption, Unfortunately he is so powerful that nothing will lead back to him and he will carry on with an extended term in office and in my book that is way wrong for the simple fact that he is the Boss of all his FiFa members and should take the fall also..... How the hell did Quata ever get a chance in the first place of ever holding the biggest competition in the world......
I see it as a pack of cards coming tumbling down on them, to a point where we may see FIFA grind to a complete halt. I bet the ones arrested will sequel like a pig when questioned and that will eventually see Bladder arrested. Well I'm hoping at least!!! I wouldn't be surprised that Bladder has a nice dossier of bungs and he will sequel as well. Hoping that the chickens have come home to roost!!!
The problem is though, we get rid of blatter and his cronies, then somebody else and his cronies take his place, the result being is the bags of money is given to somebody else instead.
Gotta love the way they waited until the eave of the FIFA presidential vote to arrest those concerned, knowing they'd all be together in a country with a US extradition treaty. All FIFA officials have been told they cannot leave Switzerland, including Blatter. God bless America for sorting out 'soccer'.
We have to have trust in someone and if bladder gets away with this then we will keep on seeing stupid rich countries like quatar buying the tournament through the back door with bribes....England should have been awarded the WC ages ago but they wont pay these crooks to have it...
