For what it's worth I actually agree Dev but I think it was done to protect coefficients as teams like Millwall etc. Playing in Europe whilst in the Championship. The theory being that a 7th placed team is likely to do better in the competition. I'm not complaining though as it could obviously benefit us but I have a feeling that Liverpool and/or Spurs will drop points today, though whether we can win at City is another matter entirely! It would be nice to finish 5th/6th so our qualufiers don't start in July Plus, then I can support Villa next week
I don't think any rules have been broken but having said that the FA Cup has lost some prestige and some clubs don't take it as seriously as they used to which in my opinion is a crying shame they have their eyes on a bigger prize which for those who love tradition and history is a loss. So maybe jagging a Europa spot for finishing 7th to some would seem a reward to a seasons long achievement.
We paid them back as per the terms of the CVA, therefore we did not break any rules. Indeed, we actually went one better, paying back all charities and companies owed £2500 or less.
So it was OK then for you Scummers to walk away from £11mn of debt owed to Norwich Union for your flatpack stadium when a certain fat German made an offer of 'take it or leave it' which had to be accepted by the NU shareholders when you Scummers were in Administration. Such a short and selective memory me thinks......... Or maybe you were too busy at the time waiting for your Mum to call you for tea, so could get on with your homework
It would seem that the mention of ethics within football brings about a vociferous from Portsmouth fans.,surprise surprise ! At least there is some degree of ironic justice within the the world considering the perilous state of the club.
We own our club what will happen to you when the other fat German liquidates her pension fund and walks away? The 'Don' must have left for a reason, I wonder what it was?......
Considering the upward trajectory of the club along with the academy's proven track record and infrastructure I'm sure there will be no shortage of suitors who could take Saints to an even higher level, not that Liebherr would consider selling. The admirable yet unsustainable business model of Portsmouth fc means that you fans will soon be proud owners of a non league side !
Well lets see who laughs last, I think it will be the blue side of hampshire when your bubble bursts, just need a right prick but then there are plenty of those in Scumhampton!
