Just had a chance to scan the Gowran meeting, just the one that's sticking out for me.

7:50 - Toccata Blue 9/2. On a lower mark today than when he last won at Gowran in June. Had a decent comeback run last month when 2nd, only beat by a neck. Can hopefully build on that today.

Don't think tomorrow is a particularly good day's racing but Hamilton is more or less my local racecourse so I like to have a look and try to pick a few out.

2:40 - Economic Crisis 7/1. Loves it round Hamilton, all 6 of her career wins are at Hamilton. She ran ok lto in a better race than this, also running under a penalty for a previous win. Hopefully being back at Hamilton will mean another win!

4:50 - Latin Rebel 8/1. Was 2nd over C&D at the start of the month and is racing off the same mark in this. He's also receiving weight to the whole field, could take advantage of that.

Also, Great Fun is due to run at Kempton tomorrow night. I've tipped him on here the last two times he's been due to run but has been pulled out the race, if he runs tomorrow I'll likely put something on him again.
Nice tipping again Fabio 8/1 winner and 8/1 second

A few more today to avoid as I'm on these.

2.30 Thirsk. With a big bias favouring high drawn runners I'm going for the one drawn highest in 20 HUGIE BOY. Came 4th lto beaten 8l to EXCILLY who won again yesterday. Can bag the rail as the one drawn 19 likes to be held up. W 7/1
5.15 Thirsk. SEE VERMONT is 2/3 and expect him to go in again over this extra furlong.
4.15 Ham. LIL SOPHELLA. Quick reappearance following a nose defeat 5 days ago. W 9/2
6.00 New Abb. Once again we see a Nicky Henderson odds on shot which I believe like many others over the last few weeks can be beaten. Therefore I'll be on Nicholls MORE BUCKS to hopefully live up to his name and win me more bucks W 6/5 (beating odds on fav)

I was going to put up a quick overview of Dnipro/Sevilla tonight on here (because this tournament doesn't seem interesting enough to warrant its own thread), but I'm so overcome by the FIFA news from Zurich that I'm no longer emotionally stable enough to do it. Corruption at the high table of world football - who'd have thought it ? They'll be telling us next that the international banking system's bent.

At least no hint of suspicion can ever attach to Irish jump racing.

Rainer the sad thing is sepp blatter will get re-elected on friday, unbelievable, nothing sticks to the bastard even though he reeks of corruption

Not on Saturday he wont be. Another boost for Squire form!

Seen you put that up there alright, Morris is an able deputy.

Was just saying Rab was the man tonight for Embankment after several claimers on board. Didn't see the race yet, Embankment break well do you know?

Not sure I agree there, Ste. The Friday election may well go through as pre-ordained, but Sepp might not walk away this time. I reckon one or more of these charmless gits being charged will be happy to do a deal/cop a plea which will put the old cockroach squarely in the frame. Jeffrey Webb (technically I believe a British citizen because the Cayman Is. are a British overseas territory) doesn't strike me as a man to carry the can for his mates. Months of entertainment ahead, I'd guess, and probably all the funnier because the FBI aren't renowned for their sense of humour.

Oh, OK then, if you all insist. I think Dnipro will be a hard nut to crack tonight: Dnipro on +1 at around even money.

Great Fun and Toccata Blue both finish 2nd! Frustrating but I've been on a lucky run so can't go on too much when things aren't going my way.

Sevilla going 2-1 up could be a blessing in disguise as it will make Dnipro open up a little more, but then also leaving them more open at the back! Fancy Sevilla to take it down from here. 5 Spanish teams in Champions League next year!

If they both keep defending like this, it's going to end up about 9-7 ! Think I'll take the tiny halftime profit and run. Entertaining for a final, though, and the referee's having a good game.
