Classic. Club have taken down his speech everywhere apart from Express. Watch it quick! http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-speech-graphics-presentation-Arsenal-Man-Utd
Not a patch on LvG's as it was clearly scripted. Funny enough but Jose is best when its off the cuff.
He was talking about philosophy and he mentioned a new signing to implement his genius tactical analysis.
He was just pissed and very funny. Suprised you haven't seen it as its been plastered all over the news. Gets a few digs in at various clubs and then when hes finished, comes back on stage, grabs the mic and gets people to thank a sax player Good to see a human side to him and others. Jose's isnt bad, his digs at Arsenal are always good for a laugh but he didnt need it scripting. He can do it all by himself The pair of them would have a right laugh together over a bottle of wine i reckon. Slagging off Arsenal, the Spanish giants, Liverpool and co
not worth it. LvG was just eulogizing the best fans in the world - prawn brigade call me biased, but Jose's is brilliant.
It would have been better if he hadn't whinged about not getting any respect and just stuck to the japes at United, City and Arsenal.
He said 'the players did not get any respect'. Classic motivational tool for next season: siege mentality. He is quite crafty, Jose. Does most things for a reason
Meh... He might use it as a motivational tool. But it also sounds like he does actually care about not getting the respect he feels his team deserves.
I agree and think he does care. I wish he didn't. As a Chelsea supporter I want respect from no one. I've been uncomfortable in the last 5 years where we've almost been liked by the public again and when your liked by the British public I guarantee your not winning league titles - Arsenal being a great example. Once again, opposition supporters have become venomous in an effort to belittle our Champions status and it feels so much better to know that they are hurting in the same way we hurt watching others win it. There isn't an insult out there that can't be silenced in just one single word - CHAMPIONS.
I agree to an extent. But then there are also on rare occasions title winners who AREN'T universally hated. So it's not like it has to go hand in hand. Let's face it, you can be a loser and not respected, a loser and respected, a winner and not respected or, the holy grail... a winner and respected. Everyone wants to be that fourth option, but hardly anyone can. The question with Mourinho is whether he can only be a winner by doing stuff that inherently makes him not be respected. Or are his winning methods doomed to being perennially hated? Either way, why should he care if he wins? There's no reason for him to want to be respected given his trophy haul, so it's just a bit puzzling to see why he vaguely does seem to care about it in the slightest when he realises he isn't respected.
apparently his brilliant line was "don't forget about the manager" Louis van Gaal aka A Vaginal Soul is hilarious tho
Good post mate. Maybe City weren't universally hated and personally I felt nothing when they won it. I wouldn't be saying the same if United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs won it - I'd be in mourning although less so with United for some reason. I think it is unfair to slate Jose's 'winning methods' which are tagged boring, park the bus etc, etc. It seems the entire country did a Liverpool and conveniently forgot a piece of history they didn't like so pretend it doesn't exist - we played some scintillating stuff early doors. Maybe this annoys him? Either way, I have long maintained I would rather win 1.0 than lose 6.1. There were 7 goals up at Stoke last weekend but I doubt those on the receiving end felt overly entertained.
Glad to hear people laughing at Jose, it's difficult to criticise people who make you laugh. Humour is Joses' best weapon.
