Sturridge, Benteke, Ings, Origi... that's potentiall what we'll have next season. Where does the carrier bag stand against that. If it's from Waitrose it starts ahead of Sturridge

Agree to disagree on this one. Although the debate of Balotelli versus a Tesco carrier bag is a different one.

Assuming we can shift him on this summer for what, £10m? He will have cost us £11m (£16m transfer fee plus another £5m in wages) for precisely ****all in return! I wouldn't have signed Lambert either btw. Obviously not as expensive but virtually as useless. I'd have told Borini to pissoff too; "what's that, you want to stay and fight for your place? Tough ****, you're not good enough now take the move!". That's £34m (£16m + £4m + £14m) to spend on a couple of forwards with about £250k per week in wages available too.

If Studge can't get fit than I guess it's ahead of him :)

PS...that strike force looks much better than this year's but it is still very poor

Sampdoria interested according to Echo

Never wanted Lambert, that one had fail in capital red letters written all over it from the start

Does Borini still exist?? Someone will have to find him before we can sell. Maybe he works for Steve Finnan

Balotelli and Lambert were both doomed before the paper was even created for the contract!

I think we will just have to see what happens. nobody knows who or how we will move all this lot on bit we will see

borini has been send to coventry by rodgers, he will be sold for very little i reckon. balotelli will only do what suits him.

We'd say the same about Aspas if we thought it would get us more money!

I'm not arguing that any of them were any good or would have been my personal targets! Although I do love Borini.

No great surprises there, although I was hoping Alberto would turn out ok.

No Sterling, no Lucas, no Lovren on that list.

Think we're right to hang onto Lucas, can be decent-good

Lovren in all honesty reckon only reason he's not in danger is cos of the massive price and how we're already taking a loss on Balotelli

Stelring is up in the air

Who doesn't :)

I just don't understand why a club would sign a player they don't rate. It makes absolutely no sense. Especially when talking about a player that is completely outside our own philosophy. I seriously would have preferred to play Brad Jones up front #samereturn #savethemoney

Basically, they were **** scared of repeating what they did when they let Carroll West Ham on loan without getting a replacement.

This is the issue we have in the squad - there are too many players that are decent-good. We need better than that in order to compete.

Who are your referring to? The strike force or the players leaving?

(The sad thing is, there are so many possibilities...)

Just our entire spend over the past decade. We have been incredibly wasteful and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

Just because a member of the committee was against it and one found it a less-than-ideal short-term solution doesn't mean that the club didn't rate him. It means that the the rest of the committee rated him (!) and one person rated him enough to prefer to buy him as a short-term solution than to not buy him at all.

This is quite possible. Last time we brought in Sturridge and it turned out alright. This time we bought Balotelli and it really didn't.
