he does this to try and justify giving Junior a contract - I will bet the first taker £50 that not one Prem club comes in for the useless **** anyway
Rick on twitter said that he only started 1/3 of games in our last championship season. We need to trim the squad and he's very much a fringe player.
But the point is you need a squad. If he hadnt been available for those 'third of games' then we might have dropped points that cost us promotion.
^^^^^^^^^ this. On the face of it it is a crazy move now we are back in the championship. Also, Rosie was perfect to be integrated into a coaching role at the club. Not the best news just after relegation. What happens with Macca and Quinn will be interesting. If they dont get offered new deals then we have problems.
Someone's been playing with wiki... Liam James Rosenior (born 9 July 1984) is a formerEnglish footballer who played for Hull City as a defender. He is the son of former player and manager Leroy Rosenior, and spent time on loan at Torquay United, where his father was manager, during their promotion season (2003–04). His mother is From Sierra Leone and his father is English. On the 26th of May it was announced Rosenior would be leaving Hull City. After such a ludicrous decision the club also announced Steve Bruce had lost the plot
Although he is my favourite player at the club, I think there is too much competition in defence, if we have a fully fit squad. He needed more starts. What I want to know is, which player recently trashed his hotel room?
It's too early to say that. You don't know who's going to replace him. Wait til end of August and then complain. Reminds me of when we got rid of Cairney and Evans, that wasn't a good decision at the time but it turned out to be a very good one as Hudd and Jake had great first seasons with us
Rosenior is the type of footballer that every club needs. The reliable ones, you always know what to expect and they never let you down. Not only that, he'd be the best full back outside the premiership. Can play left back, right back and wing back. The perfect squad player. It's a horrific decision to let him leave. Sure he hasn't played much this season but we've just been relegated and he's ideal for the Championship. In fact, i'd genuinely rather have Rosenior than Elmo. I got bored of watching our one dimensional football were we pass to Elmo, he runs a few yards forwards, crosses the ball, it gets cleared or our strikers miss a chance. So predictable. Lets have something different next season, pleaseeeee.
So let me get this right. We should definitely keep Rosenior and go back to 4-4-2. So if we do then our first choice CB pairing is Dawson and Chester.b. We also have Harry Maguire who we all agree needs to be given a chance in the Championship. Right? We then also have Curtis Davies who if he gets his head right is far and away better than Mcshane. So we wouldnt keep, and Mcshane wouldnt want, to be 4th choice. We also have Lenihan coming through at RB. We cant keep them both.
This board implodes every time the wind changes. Maybe some haven't noticed, but we just got relegated and there's going to be a lot of changes - some popular and some unpopular.
We also have way too many CBs, we built a big squad for Europe and now it needs to be seriously cut down
Don't be daft everyone dreaming about replacements It's a **** decision He's been a classic and classy squad player who has waited his turn and yet stepped up when needed and never let us down. Someone may come in but I don't know if anyone has noticed this year at all...it is possible for some first team players to get injured! He's been an absolute professional as far as I can see and fit or not has been an ambassador for the club at every possible opportunity It was set up perfectly for him to take a coaching role later as well Tacky decision from a classless administration
