Watching German highlights on ITV4. Firminho was mentioned a lot earlier in and linked with a few clubs but not much recently, scored one and set up the other with a delicious pass. Looks neat and skilful on the ball and play in those attacking positions.

Slightly disappointed if I'm being honest.. expected a 4 page essay on Prem players with Lallana & Lovren being quoted 17 times between them
Now, I'm not going to believe the outlets until after the review has taken place and it becomes official. HOWEVER, if they are to be believed, Rodgers stays as manager, no DOF comes in, and Milner, Ings and Benteke are targets. This would suggest that ZERO lessons have been learnt.
FFS, talk about lowering our targets. As Bart Simpson once said "Let me get this straight: we're behind the rest of our class and we're going to catch up to them by going slower than they are? Coo Coo!" Also 6 goals conceded on Sunday and no defensive targets, give me ****ing strenght
Napoli's former Chelsea and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, 55, is the strong favourite to take over at Real Madrid following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti. (Guardian) Former Chelsea and West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo, 44, has been sacked by German club Schalke after they finished sixth in the Bundesliga, according to German newspaper Bild. Di Matteo only took over in October. (ESPN) Liverpool defender Kolo Toure, 34, is set to agree a one-year contract extension at Anfield. (Liverpool Echo Southampton will sell attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez, 24, this summer following his loan spell at relegated Hull City. (Talksport Everton want Sako - Roberto Martinez is hoping to sign Bakary Sako to replace Aaron Lennon, per The Sun. Lennon spent the second half of the season on loan at Everton, but the Toffees aren't sure they will be able to bring him on permanently so they are looking at other options. Sako had a good run at Wolves and is out of contract this summer so he's going to be available. Paper Round's view - Everton aren't looking for a superstar winger, just a nice option that can do a job and give them depth. That's the role Lennon played and it's one Sako can play too. That he's available on a free just makes him all the more attractive. The Toffees will almost assuredly have competition for Sako, with several other Premier League clubs interested in signing him, but Everton is the highest profile of his suitors so they may have a leg up. please log in to view this image The back page of Tuesday's Daily Star claims Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers' job is safe Aston Villa and QPR have both made a £3.5m bid for Swindon Town midfielders Massimo Luongo, 22, and Ben Gladwin, 22, but the League One club are holding out for a £4m deal. (Daily Telegraph) Liverpool defender Kolo Toure, 34, is set to agree a one-year contract extension at Anfield. (Liverpool Echo) Meanwhile, 20-year-old Reds forward Divock Origi, on loan at Lille, has had the dubious honour of being named in Ligue 1's worst team of the season by French daily sports newspaper L'Equipe
Urgh. Literally never ****ing learn do we. Benteke will fail. Exactly the same as Balotelli, big strong player that holds up well for runners. Doesn't suit the way Brendan tries to play in the slightest. I'd be happy with Ings on the cheap and Milner for free, as long as his wages aren't mad. If we sign these three though, it really does she our lack if intent. Those are top 7 signings and nothing else. I hope Rodgers does well if we do give him another year, but I just can't see his stubborn idiocy when it comes to team selection and substitutions changing any time soon. Fully expect a finish around 6th again next year if we stick with him.
