Can Newcastle United still finish above rivals Sunderland? Sunderland made this battle a two-horse race on Wednesday night by securing a point at Arsenal to guarantee their safety. They’re just two points above their Tyneside rivals though and play champions Chelsea on the final day. Should they lose at Stamford Bridge then Newcastle would at least have the ‘top dogs in the North East’ label to celebrate this season.

Hope not, I backed us when Dick took over to finish as top NE club, which included Hull without me realising! Mags not winning tomorrow is my best chance

I want them to go down. Speak for yourself:p. I want them to drop like a stone. When your footballing calendar depends on when we play Newcastle I think a person needs to consult themselves on whether footy is still for them imo.

Is that right? If this site is anything to go by Newcastle fans were pretty smug and secure in their supremacy until it it caught them up rapidly. Infact you should be a bit humble that we haven't taken on the attitude of this thread and drowned you out the second you felt the need to air an opinion. Beeling? Meltdown? Fishin? I had a bit of a war of words with one of Cestria's Mag mates on Facebook, who pulled me up for calling West Ham The Hammers, and said the correct terminology is The Irons..My reply was that I don't think that Irons is appropriate because I will be ****ing creased if they beat you and you go down..

The final irony would be a win for Hull and a draw for the others, Hull have four points from us and we have six from NUFC. Those two points to the good saved our season (well I'm happy to see it that way now) so thank you NUFC.
