Arsenal fan in peace here.
Do you guys feel... I don't know... slightly embarrassed by your manager's approach to certain games this season? I mean, you turn up to the Emirates 10 points clear and in no real danger of losing the title and what do you do? You park the bus and play for the draw rather than going out and playing proper football and trying to demonstrate just why you should be champions.
Even the game you clinched the title in was a flukey 1-0 ground out win over an average team in Crystal Palace. By the end you had Matic, Mikel and Zouma all playing DM ffs. I know this will sound bitter, but I can't help but feel if Arsenal won the title playing that way I'd feel pretty underwhelmed. When I see Chelsea play, you don't look like the best team in the Country tbh.

Well, if you think the Emirates game was parking the bus, you are naive. With our available squad, we had no chance to attack as a default style, instead we gave Arsenal a masterclass in defensive football, neutered every one of your dangerous players and had you running in ever decreasing circles. Your hopelessly inept manager was outhought and outclassed by a vastly superior tactician.
Crystal Palace average? Ask City, Liverpool ,Tottenham, Southampton or West Ham.

The trouble with Arsenal, who by the way my Grandfather played for, is you have absolutely no idea that football needs to be played on 2 fronts, attack and defence. You can do one, but not the other, and even your overrated ( in my opinion) attack is easily neutered by a good defensive team. Too many years of Wenger has convinced Arsenal supporters that they play the best football in the League. Too many years of winning bugger all should make them suspect they don't
Our football early season was light years above anyone else, so there is no doubt that 1st team all fit and available, we can play anyone in the PL off the park. We have scored more goals than you and concede less. Enough said.
We were as you describe us, in the home game against PSG, our biggest balls up all season.
When they start awarding points for style, you will win everything. Until they do, Chelsea are the best team, and by some distance.

But CP - I see PSG as a blessing in disguise.
We could have easily let City back in the race, with the way our squad is stretched too thin.

It's horrible mate. If only we could hand back our title & League Cup win.

If your old enough you must have had many years feeling 'underwhelmed' in your Gooner supporting life but your all too quick to forget that it seems.

Anyway, a weekend of celebration must commence for some of us. How will we cope with the guilt? :1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

You won the title by scraping a 1-0 home win over Crystal Palace with 3 DMs on the pitch at the end. I think that says it all.

Frustrating isn't it? You're playing at home, you need the points, the team you're playing is on the beach and you still can't win. I'm not a fan of Mourinho but it makes sense to me, he does it time and time again psychologically he ruins teams, they don't think they can beat Chelsea and next season that way of thinking is still in some players heads.

They may be boring at times but there's reason for it, sometimes it's just to get the job done and at times it's just to piss the other team off.

Whereas some teams huff and puff without getting anywhere.

Yeah that's the point, teams will huff and puff, get nowhere and get frustrated the tag of you cannot get past the bus is in players and managers heads and it'll work to your advantage. No point bleating about it you just have to go at you lot even harder and try to get that win, put any negative thoughts of not being able to beat Chelsea out of your head and go for it.

I can't say I enjoy watching the football in every single game we play because that's not really possible, but becoming champions overshadows anything. I would much rather we play the way we do and win things than become Arsenal/Spurs. Besides, I've always thought people over exaggerate our style of play - we were by far the best until we had a bit of a wobble around xmas and then like all GOOD managers should, Jose adapted for the better of the team.

Mourinho's way of playing gets results, but it is very boring for the neutrals.

Even at home you adopt these tactics, when you played us you stick Zouma in midfield to stop us playing. Surely the champions elect should be concentrating on their own strengths rather than trying to nullify ours, particularly in your own stadium. Even though you ended up nicking the game 1-0, you where passed off the park for most of the game, and where camped in your own half, in awe of our technically superior players.

Chelsea are incapable of playing open attractive football under Mourinho, as he may be a great tactician defensively, but he can't coach a team how to play an attack minded system.

We seen this the other night against West Brom, now the league is sewn up he experiments for probably the first time in his life and plays with 2 strikers, and his team are thumped 3-0.

That experiment was an epic fail from Mourinho, so it'll be back to the negative 451, hoof it up to the big man tactics from now on.

As everyone sings Boring, Boring Chelsea!

Incorrect. It happened from the start of the season until Christmas.

We don't give a fcuk about neutrals mate. We care about that very definite concept of winning. You were quite good at it under AF.

When United were pot less prior to 1992 none of you lot gave a rats ar5e about attacking football but you have since become connoisseurs all of a sudden since reading the Daily Star. Just for the record the free flowing, play you off park, majestic football of the Northern plastics resulted in 21, yes 21 games in a 42 game season when they scored 1 goal or fewer in a fixture accumulating in a 'massive' total of 67. A whopping 67 goals in 42 matches. Maybe the goals were smaller?

Your memories fail you because your consumed by jealousy and rage or perhaps the Singapore reds hadn't formed then.

We are Chelsea, the Champions of England and nothing else matters.

Winning is good football..wish we did more of it.

Having just played the goners and managed a 0-0 they had the ball meandering around our prnarea for ages and couldn't score! In fact if Fletcher had been any good and taken one his chances we would have won.

Arsenal still need to toughen up in midfield (been the same for several season now) and get a proper goalscorer up front and pass him the ball quicker. Tiki taki is boring

No we didn't have the players to play that way back then, as we weren't a top side. Completely different to playing ****e football with a squad of multi million pound players

This is exactly it. Chelsea played as Underdogs at home against a team below them in the League in Man Utd. Does this not seem wrong?

Chelsea may be Champions but you wouldn't think they were looking at the way they play. Look at Bayern/Barca, winning their leagues playing incredible attacking football. Chelsea look kind of pathetic compared to them.

Yet still smashed the league with 3 games left.
How pathetic does that make the rest of the PL also rans.
