Sounds like a great move.

You don't deserve face time with the club if you're in the media calling legends a knob.

If you want to tell the club anything put it in a letter and buy a stamp.

I agree, its top move.. you have no intentions of signing a new deal, then meeting is pointless.
We won't comment further, we should just left Sterling's agent, old Fog horn Leg horn continue to feed the media..
Take the high ground, say nothing more to the media but make Sterling fully aware of where everything stands.
1 - We don't want to sell you.. if we do a stupid bid would need to be lodged
2 - If you really want to leave, hand a transfer request in, otherwise shut up!

I would fine him 2 weeks wages and all.

Not sure we can fine him for the comments made by his agent..
But wouldn't have him in the team/squad for Sunday.
If he's still here at the start of next season, without a change of attitude, then he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad either..

For the club it should be very simple:

1. Sterling has 2 years left on his contract
2. His agent says he won't sign another, so no need to offer another
3. If he doesn't want to play for Liverpool for the next 2 years hand in a transfer request

There is nothing for the club to discuss with Sterling's agent at this stage

It's pretty simple really make him play with the u21s for the next 2 seasons then let him choose where he's off to and recoup the tribunal money. That should offset the wages to some extent. Or next year when he has a year left let the prick buy out his contract therefore making his year with the u21s free.

What is certain is he should never ever pull on a senior Liverpool shirt again.

No point in fining him, his wages are small. Best just to remind him his agent is costing him £9,000 a day in lost wages by rejecting the £100k contract.

Look on the bright side, we've saved nearly 3m by the wee man not taking the £100K deal when offered.
Any half decent agent would have taken the new deal and insisted that a clause be inserted that should we not get top 4 he can leave for X...
Really, what a plumb.. (both of them!!)

very true. a 30 or 40 mil release if no LC would have been simple and got him exactly the same place... but now IMO he's limitiing his options.

The agent wouldn't let him take any deal because he wanted to set up his own company first to make sure he got more of the commission. Sterling has been totally ****ed by his agent.
