Dzeko has looked poor this year anyway. The Dzeko of a couple of years ago would be an option.

Dzeko scores all his goals against us. If we took that away from him by signing him then his record wouldn't be so great

In the latest round of joined-up transfer rumours, now it's being said that if PSG sign Angel Di Maria we'll make a move for Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Okay, let me get this straight: because PSG are shelling out for a player that Man Utd grossly overpaid for last summer, we're going to throw PSG a bone and sign Lavezzi...even though he ticks a lot of the wrong boxes: he's 30 so would have little to no resale value, he'd expect to be one of our highest-paid players, and his best position happens to be the one that Chadli plays in right now. Add to that the stats say he's a poor signing: Chadli's scored ten and assisted five from the left this season, while Lavezzi's scored six and assisted once from the same position this season (and half of those goals came in one game) - so he's wouldn't be an upgrade, merely an expensive replacement.

Haha ok SoS, clearly my Ukrainian isn't up to scratch!

Lol, if it's any consolation I fully believed it, too. It was only because someone on my timeline mentioned it was a fan account and not the official site that I found out. I was about to start texting a few mates about it as well <laugh>

In today's preliminary round for Silly Season we're being linked with a glut of right backs, namely Nathaniel Clyne and Evian's Danish wing back Daniel Wass.

The papers/sites/blogs are aware that we have Walker and Yedlin in that position already, right?

The Clyne thing is probably his agent trying to force Man Utd's hand, as they may be willing to wait out his contract.
Could be Southampton, as it's their last chance for a payout on him, but that's far less likely.

Wass also has one season left on his contract, so he appears to be getting linked with every Premier League club.
Evian got relegated and he seems like one of their few worthwhile assets, so they'll be looking to make some money while they can.

Wass does sound like a very Levy signing, given the fee's being touted at £2m - but trying to keep him, Walker and Yedlin happy is spinning plates for the sake of spinning plates.

Come to think of it, Levy said we were looking to sign players in the £10-15m bracket, yet the fees of players we're strongly linked with say different:
Kevin Wimmer - £4.35m
Daniel Wass - £2m
Marc Bartra - £7.5m
Yevhen Konoplyanka - Free

It's almost as if we're saving up £25m to sign a certain French central midfielder who also helps our HG quota...

I had no idea Clyne was on our books as a youngster.

I popped over to the famous SCITK board last night, some believe Wimmer is pretty much done, others saying Schneiderlin is a possibility, one has rulen out Lavezzi despite a few rumours in the media, no one has mentioned Konoplyanka yet, though.

The Mirror are claiming that Sherwood will look to bring in Adebayor if Benteke is sold in the summer, which seems pretty likely.
Fancy a swap, Tim? <whistle>

Sherwood would love that, he and Ade could rekindle their saluting relationship, it'd be like a rom-com ending for them.
