Must be scary for him....you think you are invincible before such an injury...afterwards, it must take a while to put it to the back of your mind.
I hope the physios in attendance have a big stack of cotton wool. And he must be carried on and off the pitch....no point in taking risks.
We don't want to rush him into things, and there is really no point for the sake of two remaining games (one is at U21 level). As long as he is fit for the first day of pre season, then I think we will all be delighted.
Agreed, if we were in with a shout of top 4, it would be a different matter - he'd be in my squad for Sunday. But there's no point risking him now when we've got 3 players who play his position who scored 6 between them only a few days ago.
If he was played tonight or Sunday and got injured again, then people would never forgive Koeman for playing him. The club are doing the right thing, and we just don't want him to be out for another few months for the sake of 20 minutes in two pretty 'meaningless' games.
