If LFC block any potential move this summer(as they've already stated according to the Echo)he'll bide his time and then sign a pre-contract agreement and the buyer will get him for next to nothing.

He's now a bad influence at the club and FSG should sell for the highest offer during the summer.

**** him, Ford is a better 10 than him and Ibe is a better RW than him. If we can get £40+mill for him all the better.
The squad as a whole is in desperate need of quality and thats going to take money. I'd take 2-3 excellent players over a spoilt brat who isn't as good as he thinks.

Let him go to Real or Citeh, sit on the bench, play 15mins here and there and watch his future disappear until he ends up at Newcastle.

Two years is a long time to sit on the bench at his age.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not for giving Sterling a 6 figure contract.

But I don't think the club are blameless here. Far too many leaks about how much the player wants in an attempt for us to turn on him IMO.

The club have bullied the kid with a hundred grand a week offer Jimmy....oh and a nice mid-season holiday FFS <laugh> A HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS EVERY SEVEN DAYS....he hasn't even justified a thousand pounds in the last 6 months never mind turning down that sort of money....he can't even be arsed using his left foot for his cash <doh> He's been **** most of the season and if someone else wants to pay him more than that then they are welcome to him. We shouldn't and we haven't, so for once we are doing the right thing <ok>

I'd be more disappointed if he stayed. Can't stand the madness of these young kids who enjoy the money more than the game itself. Plus it gives Ibe and Sinclair a chance to gain a spot which is a bonus, neither could be any more useless than he's been.

He'll be sitting on Rodgers head then, because Rodgers is busy kissing it in the hope he stays, but if the greedy **** stays another season he's the entitled to sign a precontract(?), in which case we'll only get a nominal fee for him.

What an ungrateful little ****. 100k and he turns it down!
He is no Suarez, or even Ashley Cole when he went money mad at Arsenal, Sterling has shown no where near enough to warrant a higher pay than 100k.
Bullying him? Little **** rag!!
I wouldn't want this little ****er near my club and hope to god we do not make an offer.
City is his only logical choice.
Blocking a move for him would only be shooting yourselves in the foot.
If you get any offer of £30m+ for him I would take their hands off......but I only see City coming in for him, and at best he would be a sub.....so maybe with FFP he would be too much of a luxury buy for City too, seeing as Toure is likely to clear off this summer and they need a replacement for him regardless as he is getting old.
Chelsea? Hazard, Oscar, Willian I all rate higher than this kid right now. Plus we are paying Willian a lot less than 100k p/w. (Think its about 40k p/w, Oscar is on 90k p/w)
Get shot as best you can, as soon as you can, and hope City have some spare cash and are desperate for homegrowns.

Saw that one of your favs Sansa Stark might have a few issues walking tomorrow btw <laugh>

He was always set to leave this summer, the real problem is the money going to Rodgers to use.

Absolutely. Sterling went from okay to superb last season, but in all honesty, saying this without sour grapes, a few games apart he's been ordinary compared to then. Not to say he isn't special, and at a bigger club where he isn't expected to carry the team (please God that's not Utd) I still think he'll be as good as Walcott has turned, easily.

But, considering how we were caught out by Luis' departure last season, what is the plan to replace him? I'd rather he did go now - as long as we get @£35m+ and, preferably not to a Prem team- but we saw the crap we got last summer with most of the Suarez money, yet missed out on Berahino and Shaqiri at @ £15m each, buying dog-turds like Balotelli, Markovic and Lovren. Will Bron use the dosh to buy 3 Borinis, 2 Markovic's or 2 and a half Balotellis? Or was this the fault of the infamous "Committee"?

Not too sad to let Ramjam go, except that it signals just how far we've dropped back again after one, relatively, woeful season. What I will hate though is if he does a Torres and trills on about how he wants to play in the CL, given, in raheem's case, that away to Ludagrets and Basle, especially, he was ****ing atrocious, albeit in dire teams around him.

Two ways to play hardball tell him we won't sell and that he's too fight for his place or make an announcement that he's been placed on the transfer list for the money we want and that we won't accept less.

Don't be all soft with the lad he either stays and signs of we sell get it ****ing done either way and stop ****ing about I'm bored ****less with it.

Well start by forcing him to come to training and let Gerrard kick lumps out of him all week.

Let the players show him exactly what kind of turd he is then on Friday announce he is not in the 18 as he is not mentally right for it and let him **** off and mouth if he wants.

Let Rodgers do it in his presser then the best thing I'd he goes home to Jamaica or lagan or wherever he'd rather be and we then get on the blower direct to city.

I could not give a bollocks about selling to English cos genuine hand on heart I don't think he will improve anyone in top 4 Utd included.

City are not ones to hang round imo so get a good deal done here and get it done before preseason

I'm not saying Sterling and his agent are saints. I think everyone looks like an idiot in this whole saga.

But, Sterling had said he wanted to wait until the end of the season to resume contract talks. Then the club leaked contract negotiations saying Sterling rejected it. Bullying is the wrong word, but I certainly do think he was pressured. Then you have Rodgers talking about his contract constantly throughout the season.

As I say, I'm not defending anyone - I think everyone looks bad.

And we all need to look at the crux of the problem - why does he want to leave? Whilst he is asking for a ridiculous amount, he IS one of the best players at the club. He is one of the best youngsters in world football. Why are in this position? Does anyone have faith in Rodgers to lead us to victory? To win trophies? He doesn't want to play for Rodgers - why not?
