Just when we thought Cash Convertors was bad enough, our bleeding season tickets look like passes for the local Darby and Joan Club :emoticon-0100-smile:emoticon-0100-smile

Agreed.

It's great that we're honouring this guy, but it looks out of place on the ticket. Maybe presenting him with an award at HT or something would have been more appropriate.

Does it really matter?

I mean I ask you, some people just aren't happy unless there's something to moan about!

Stick it in your pocket and only bring it out when your walking upto the turnstile, that's what I do!

Hope this helps!

No it doesn't really matter, but there is a topic about it, so I thought I would comment because I'm bored.

Of course it doesnt matter, hence the smiles at the end of the post. On second thoughts it does matter, we have an image of a non league football team, with Cash convertors and a bleeding Community East Stand, what next John Rudge as ouir new manager

Nice touch and honor for a long term fan. What harm is there by doing it. Quality idea IMO.

Maybe after Cash Convertors deal has run its course, we might have Shacklton chairs or Werthers Originals on the front of our shirts, admit though its nice the club reconise his acheivments.

Nice gesture by the club tbh. Is this the chap that Mark Maguire made reference too in his pre season ticket sales pitch? Probably our oldest fan, a bit of respect please chaps.

The guy deserves respect, his first game was in 1924, I don't see the problem having his picture on the ticket, what difference does it make?

I agree about respecting the guy, but the whole make up of the pass, the sponsors etc just makes us sound like a non league club and not a club who were in the premiership 2 seasons ago. As for tits and asses i aint doing it no more so your safe.

with u on this, as the stand is named, it's a community and that means young and old, girls and boys. anyone who doesn't agree can go to hell, Mr Bark has probably seen more City games than the lot of you put together. This is probably one of the proudest events in his life and I for one am dielighted for him.

I'm not against tits and asses in principle but some of your selections were a bit suspect Miff. This guy is being honoured by having his face on the ticket, maybe you should look it that way.

hes been rewarded for being born in a certain year, theres plenty of fans who in 30/40 years time..will have attended as many games..all hes done is kept going to watch football, not exactly mbe worthy...
and if you read the story before, he admitted to sneaking in free, bet he wasnt alone, bet he led a group of payment dodgers, who where probably someway to blame for our financial troubles...a seasons ban would have been more fitting ;)
i agree with the op, if this was leeds and we had got wind of it, we would have ripped the piss out of them something chronic...
