I ain't a complete uncaring bastard geet, as I said before that they're far from perfect but the Tories were the best of a bad bunch. The Tories aren't popular but bottom line was that they were trusted to run the country for another term rather than the Labour shower! Left wing parties are unelectable and don't get elected, simple as that. Labour always go back to the left when defeated, Red Ed elected leader and the rest was history! I've got no time for the benefits culture, uncontrolled immigration, the bullshit human rights act, taxing wealth creators out of the country who have worked hard to get where they are. It ain't right that people don't get on in life unless they've got money behind them, housing costs are ridiculous and it's so ****ing hard to get on the ladder. I do care about plenty of stuff mate, I ain't a complete hard nosed bastard who doesn't give a **** about others regardless of being mortgage & debt free as that ain't me, so much so that we gave money from the sale of our flat to my step son & step daughter to put towards getting their own places. My step son and his fiancée exchanged contracts yesterday on a shared ownership flat in Bromley. We promised them both money from our sale proceeds. As I've said before they ain't perfect but the fact is I'm happy to vote Tory simply because I disagree with less of their stuff than Labour's even though I'll never vote Labour ever again - as my dad says, as long as I've got breath in my body.
Steve, can you chuck me a few grand toawards my morgatge as you don't have one? Only jestin fella, nice to see you help yer family out.
Exactly mate, I'm not minted by a stretch but despite being mortgage & debt free being comfortable with money hasn't changed me mate.
Suppose the tories have only had 5 years to sort all that out. Oh, wait a minute, they haven't sorted any of it out, have they?
Its not the dinner ladies at dinner time that you should be concerned about............................but the *** breaks
OLOF, I think that you have summed up exactly my thoughts Chesh, if you take an unbiased view, it was Labour that had a policy of uncontrolled immigration which the Conservatives have done nothing about as it provides a cheap source of labour, holding back the wages of everybody in this country. Labour and Conservative are as bad as each other in many respects, but I suspect that the vast majority of people in this country are more attuned to the higher principles of the Labour Party i.e looking after those less fortunate than ourselves, it is sad that the politicians we elect do not serve us but are self serving
