Still in the Placepot at Chester, but I wish I was still in it at Newtonn Abbot though. £1.45 left going into the 5th race.

Jim Best leg up Sean Bowen on Heading To First at 8.20. An unlucky second on stable debut and now up 5lbs in a much less competitive event. I'm very keen on this at 2/1. Main competition seems to be from a 10lb conditional so I'm very happy to take it on.
Bumper - Don Cantillon sends a bumper horse all the way to Carlisle. Beyond Measure is 11/4 to win on debut and needs to be very competitive to justify such a long drive for a mares only event. Well bred and with the right team to plot one up on debut, it's a fair price and has a strong chance.

Anyone see that 8:10 @ Carlisle ? Gave the winner 30 lengths at the start and he hosed in. Is it the jockeys or starter at fault there if you saw it? I know a case in Ireland similar where all the jocks on behind got a nice holiday. Winner was really well backed too.
