This ones been the worst kept secret in football for 12 months so there's no chance of it falling through. Dont think Di Maria is off either. Well not to PSG who have beem reportedly hit with firther FFP sanctions. (reports in france).
Ah but thats not your definition of average though MITO. Else everyone is above or below average depending if you thought they were better than Joe Allen. No you mentioned your definition of average being if they had quality on the ball, rather than being defensively solid and/or hard working. For instance, Flanagan is defensively solid but going forward is about as useful as traore. Milner is much the same, a solid good player in my eyes but in your eyes he should be #average - no attacking skills like a coutinho or a suarez
first doesn't go do much. it assumes there's no other options. If there's any competition for a player we come off second or third best it seems.
United about to sign Depay for £25-£30m according to BBC. Another huge spending spree on the way for them it seems.
Had we gotten 4th over United then I bet Depay would have thought twice over joining them. As it was, we ****ed up again, and his decision was made easier > more money + CL vs less money and no CL. Clear cut.
I agree with this, isnt he the next best thing? Would he be happy in the Europa when we'd have probably been one of a few with interest in him? Forget Utd, we need to concentrate on us and having a ****ing decent window for once
I just want to remind everyone that lacazette will join chelsea next and this outburst stuff should be seen as frustration at bad season rather than just winding yourselves up at the inevitable.
Hes signed for us before the seasons ended. I dont think final position matters to him. He was always signing for us. Been the case for a year. I laughed at the Liverpool reports and they were just rubbish.
You're forgetting his links with Van Gaal via the Dutch National side. This deal has been on the cards all season, I don't think 4th or otherwise had anything to do with it.
I can accept that. Chelsea are light years ahead of us. As for United, they are not, they have flattered to deceive and had they finished outside the CL then they would be in financial troubles to the tune of £50million less revenue (Sponsorship due to be cut + no cl dosh). But as it is, we gifted them 4th with our ****e spending and piss poor performances, and as a result have heaped more pressure on ourselves.
Promised Marquee transfers... Looks like we'll be signing Ashley Williams for £20Mil then. What a mess of CL football we've made and not just on the pitch
