I will be voting because whatever else, we are in a country that allows its citizens to vote when many don't. When you think about Emily Pankhurst and their fight to win the right to vote 100 years ago, I think it should be a duty to do so. Even if you hate all candidates and scribble some nonsense on the ballot paper and walk out, it still makes a point.

Saying that Altrincham and Sale West is about as safe a Tory seat as there is so we already know the outcome.

I've only had flyers from the Greens, UKIP and the Conservatives, I assume the other three have given up on us.

The Green Party candidate is called Tim Greene, which was mildly amusing.

I got a personal letter from David Davis, presumably he saved my details when I contacted him about the name change.

I used to work in Westminster for an MP and David Davis always seemed like a genuine bloke.

They'd probably do better round here if they called themselves the Stuart Green Party.

i agree most of the Tory policies , but as they
    1. have no presence in my part of Hull (not even one of those lamppost banner)
    2. no chance of upsetting Labour in W.Hull

ive gone for UKIP , which is quite annoying as im quite passionate about where i want
my country to go in the future , UKIP doesnt quite represent it , but its a lot nearer than the Labour way

I Dont believe in handouts ,dont belive in statutory foreign aid (neither do some of the recipients)
And hate reading the drivel posted by my scrounger "friends" on FB

The FPtP system is dead in the water now , it pisses me off that our electoral system is bent ,
and will in the next few months prove to be untenable

Local services have been slashed due to central gov cutbacks and I know I few that have/are either losing thier jobs , pay cuts , reduced hours
The retirement homes , and day centres for elderly and learning difficulty people are being decimated
God knows how much worse it will get if we get 5 more years of this I dread to think

I've just found out that a mate of mine is the Green Party rep for the Beverley Rural Ward in today's local election.

He's a good bloke, bangs on about fracking too much, but other than that he's a good bloke.

I'm voting for the most obscure and least likely party to get in.

    Lib Dem it is!

Most people vote based on personalities, some pre-conceived notion of what that particular party stands for and social pressure.

Its essentially a popularity contest, very few people actually read the party manifestos and those that do realise there's absolutely nothing of worth in them.

I got Green on the Who Should You Vote For ? thing. Just about the only one I'd never thought of voting for.
What worries me is that I quite like our MP though I disagree with his party. I like him but I don't want his party to win. I therefore have to vote not for the candidate or the party that I want to vote for but for the one most likely to win our seat from him so his party doesn't win power overall. That really isn't right.
Then there's the thought that, if certain parties win the election, next New year's Honours List will give us Lord Allam.

Presumably the mis-informed hysteria and not the economic and social benefits?

The thought of Milliband / Balls in power makes me feel sick.

A couple of insincere and creepy twats. Mind you the alternatives aren't much better.

Think I'll put the ballot paper on the dart board and let fate decide.

Similar to them being in a position where you would expect them to win but selecting Kinnock and Foot as leaders.
Probably due to the fact the final decision boils down to who the union leaders want as leader rather than party members o MPs who have more ide of who a credible leader would be.

Are you using a food bank?

I fail to see why people give a **** about others misfortune. It's their own fault.
