WDWW, Just what sort of people do you think we are?

We have loads of children as fans my brother takes his 6 year old!!!! What you get up to in the 'away-end' is up to you, but don't bring us down because of your thoughts/ideas about us. We are a proud football club and would never eat anything or anybody.
 
WDWW - Us Jacks are VERY friendly. We have had many rival supporters join us around the stadium for a bit of banter and a laugh. So very child friendly.
 
Not child friendly when the Swans are playing Cardiff. Not even grown up friendly.

While I think the vast majority of Swans fans are friendly, there are some real hooligans. I almost got caught up in a massive fight at QPR v Swans season before last. And it seemed to have been started by some Swans fans. QPR hooligan element were just as bad.

These days I think you need to be careful wherever you are, as there always seem to be some rogue hooligan fans around.

Friendliest club I've ever visited was Brighton.
 
WDWW, Lots of Swan's fans take their kiddies and I've often seen away supporters bring babies and toddlers dressed in their team's kit. They looked really cute. Fabulous to see!!
 
To be fair can understand concern from a Fulham fan with a child/ren wanting to attend but since our move to the Liberty the only problem games we've had have been against Cardiff, Millwall etc when we've had people attending who have no real interest in football.

The vast majority of our games have been fine and we've regularly mixed with opposition fans who've walked around the stadium from the away end to visit the club shop or have a meal in the Harvester or Frankie & Benny's restaurants which are adjacent.

Look forward to seeing many more opposition fans coming to our city and stadium this season, hope they make a weekend of it as we have some great places like the Marina, Leisure Centre, Mumbles and the Gower coast for them to visit. We could surely do with a boost in trade in this part of the world.
 
I take my daughter to games at the liberty, the facilities are premier league and the away supporters never have problems, even the Cardiff game has calmed down now!

You will get a friendly welcome in Swansea like you did when we last played, hope you and your kids have a great day, make sure to go down the mumbles for a joe's ice cream after the game, it will take the kids minds of your loss ;)

Thanks to all the only reason I asked was because I looked at this website a few weeks back and noticed the bit saying

It is also worth bearing in mind that the Swansea fans are passionate about their club and this can make for an intimidating atmosphere. Exercise caution around the ground.

I have a son aged 6, so just wanted to check everything was good before arranging things.
Its not much of a trip either as I only live in Bristol.

i think a lot of fans will vote swansea as their favorite place they visited this season. regardless of the result. i'm sure they will enjoy what south west wales has to offer. i just hope that some people are not put off by what they would call a long journey. it'll be their loss.
 
I have been taking my little girl of 10 down for the last two season now (sitting in the South Stand) and in my experience its the kids now with the worse language.

Great atmosphere down the Liberty and not too many dickheads.
 
I take my two kids (15 & 8) hoping they will keep on wanting to go when they grow up.
Never had a bad experience down the Liberty and don't see many idiots there either.
The Salute to Sheffield United supporters when they were leaving was amazing after their last game in the Championship.
Lump in my throat thinking about it :)
 
Yep It was them doing a massive conga, they were great fans, and when they started singing "We're going down going down going down" it was amazing.
 
Please would one of you kind folk give me a postcode or directions to Park & Ride facility located at Swansea Vale from the M4.

Can't seem to find it on google maps

Come off junction 45, take the first real (ignore council and caravan site) exit off the roundabout heading toward Swansea , take first exit on dual carriage way, first left on roundabout, about 200 yards on your left off another roundabout
 
As Jager says - when you come down the exit ramp to the large roundabout at J45, take the first major left to Swansea A4067. From there it takes about 3 or 4 minutes. Safe journey to all you travellers.
