We have become really weak at the back in the last 3 games conceding 2 goals a game its time to stop messing about and put Toby back at centre back. Reed or Davis to play alongside Big Vic in midfield. We cant afford to keep losing games there is still a good chance of finishing above Liverpool and Spurs but we have to stop leaking silly goals.

Agree toby is v high quality at cb not so much in dm or rb where he is solid but nothing more. Its odd tactics when we lose a player and weaken a second position to fill the gap

I think there is a danger in underestimating the defensive role of the midfielder in that position. He protects the centre backs. If the centre back is beaten, they've probably already beaten Toby to get there.

Yoshida has been the unsung hero this year for me though I do agree Toby behind Morgan and big Vic is the best scenario

I think we are missing Forster far more then missing Toby in defence.

I think Toby has been an amazing player for us this season, but I can't say I'm completely impressed with him in midfield. Maya has played really well, but the truth is, we are stronger with Toby and Jose in the back 4. I know we'll be weaker without Morgan, but I think Harry Reed deserves his chance in midfield alongside Vic. Will be interesting to see what Ronald does for Sat.

Or Gazza?
I think we are missing Forster far more then missing Toby in defence.

Is he getting there..? Posters will probably know that I've been a bit of a fan of Gazza's right from the start, in that I realise all his faults but that he has plenty of time to improve. What he is masterful at is the distribution because he's that rare thing, a goalkeeper who is also a half-decent footballer. Recently I've been hearing good things about his goalkeeping, although I've not looked at his play myself.

I agree on Forster even though I didn't think I'd say it.

Still scares the **** out of me when the ball goes near him. But the games I have seen lately he has improved his positioning big time. He comes out to collect corners etc as well. I respect Davis big time and thank him for what he has done for Saints. But I feel his reactions (diving mainly) are far too slow. I would give Gazza a go.

Apart from highlights I have only seen Gazza in the U21 final this season, and he was very solid and unflappable in that. Different standard I know, but I'd give him a go against Leicester at least.

If Koeman puts Alderweireld and Wanyama at DM again I am going to be fuming.....put Reed and Wanyama there for ****'s sake and play the strongest back four

I agree with playing Reed but whatever Koeman decides I'll back him. I trust him as every Saints fan should after the season we've had.

I'd go back to 3-5-2.

Toby, Fonte and Yoshida at the back.
Clyne and Bertrand on the wings
Wanyama, JWP and Davis in midfield
Mane and Pelle up front

Yoshida is a perfectly good 2nd choice CB. If Roko thinks Toby is best used CDM then ill trust him.
RE Davis, he hasn't made any howlers and doesn't deserve to be dropped. We won't change our GK now and I don't think we should.
An davis's reactions are still top notch (see Burnley), its getting down for low shots that cause him trouble.
