Rio must have been keeping this from everyone. Must admit I have been really annoyed about him and I was thinking he has been getting paid a last pay day for doing little. Obviously he had a lot going on and this could only have effected him. In fact it is amazing he has managed to play any football. You have to admire the man for having all this on his shoulders and not letting it out. I wish him and his family all the best for the future.

And a young man loosing his young wife, mother to his 3 kids is one of them.

Well said SussexR, I too had to bite my tongue when I read that.
 
Terribly sad for both families. Rio has lost his wife and their children have lost their mother, whilst her family have lost a daughter.
Sympathies all round.
 
Can only add to what people have already said. Sad news indeed.

That was a nice touch by your fans yesterday showing support for Rio..........class act.

I had to watch my beautiful Mother waste away with this dreadful disease so know what Rio must have gone through. It shows the measure of the man that he kept it out of the public eye.

R.I.P. Rebecca. Condolences to Rio and both families.

It's been said but it really does put things into perspective, issues aside at this time, I think the vast majority of fans come together in wishing Rio and his children all the best and hope they are given the privacy they need at this time.

Yep saw that Ellers. Hopefully the authorities will catch up with them and instigate the appropriate proceedings, lets see how brave they are in a Court of Law.
