Looks like UKIP have it in the bag if GC is a fair representation of the electorate![]()
the Scottish electorate is currently the most informed and politically literate population in Europe.
Scotland's independence movement was in very large part stimulated by disgust at the increasingly xenophobic nature of the British state and the nasty hardening of attitudes to the poor that many in the media have been encouraging.
England has drifted to the right (at least in its media and government), many people in Scotland don't feel like the government that rules over us reflects the kind of society we want to see.

Some won't like this,no siree bob,not one bit.The Labour Party was so dominant in Scotland that people used to joke that they would be better weighing the electoral ballot papers than counting them. And yet, unless all the opinion polls are very wrong, the SNP is about to sweep Labour from the political map of Scotland. Some polls even suggest that the SNP could win every single seat in Scotland. To put that in perspective, there is one seat in Edinburgh that everyone thinks the SNP will win. At the last election they came third – with only eight per cent of the vote. It is an electoral turnaround like I have never seen. And yet this still isn't really about nationalism but about utter cynicism about a political system that is completely broken and which no-one seems to trust any more. Perhaps the most startling thing in the election has been the inclusion of the SNP in U.K.-wide television debates. The people of England were allowed to hear the kind of politics we have every day in Scotland from the mouth of the leader of the SNP Nicola Sturgeon. She has now scored the highest levels of approval of any politician ever in U.K.-wide polls.
There's a chance that the SNP could win every single seat in Scotland.![]()
Ladbrokes are predicting 53.

Aye, the Telegraph have them winning all but 4 and 3 of those are probably going to be close.![]()
