As does some bitter who criticises a club whenever he can.

Far from it. There's an awful lot to dislike about Chelsea but lots to admire too. You just choose to get defensive whenever someone has a negative point of view about something Chelsea-related rather than debating the point with any sort of rational argument as George has. Personally I disagree with his point of view but he's engaged in debate rather than just calling me a ****er and ignoring the points made.

That's one criticism you can't give to this Chelsea team. They got some crazy fees for Luiz, Schurrle etc. and all the signings except Cuadrado have been pretty good.

I would hazard a guess that the Chelsea team cost more than the Burnley team and are possibly on higher wages than the Sunderland team, your manager would have no problem getting a loan on a Ford Focus
Try living in the real world, when the title was decided not by money

I try to praise Chelsea and some people still aren't happy.

Your post is bizarre. Obviously Chelsea have a lot of expensive players but no more so than City/United and the point was that the acquisitions this season that have pushed them on (Costa, Fabregas etc) have been pretty much paid for by offloading inferior players like Schurrle and Luiz.

Well that was the 60's mate.
Since the 70's the clubs which dominate have been the ones with the most spondooleys.
This problem was exacerbated ten fold in 1992 when Sky reinvented football.

Are you a bitter Geordie? If so, it's not our fault you failed to buy the title in the 90s

Congratulations Chelsea fully deserved it. Can see you dominating the premier league for a few years now <ok>

Thanks. Things can change quicky but with the spine of our team almost sorted, I think it can go on to win another league title or two and some cups, whether Jose stays long term or not.

Good thing about Jose is even when he left last time, he left a spine behind that lasted another few years and won many more trophies

There are non so blind !!!! If Middlesboro come into the Premier league and with good luck and good management create a team that is in a position to challenge the top four /five teams how would they handle that situation, just try harder, or make an offer to those players that they cannot refuse, ask yourself is this what I want year after year or should there be something like a salary cap , believe me you are not getting from the rest of the country recognition that winning a title deserves

Don't understand the in the 90's bit, should that not read, never been in a position to buy the title, Chelsea have a long long way to go before they can purchase enough titles to catch up to the Geordies, all won on a level playing field
erm....Chelsea have won more titles than Newcastle?

League titles
Chelsea 5 - 4 Newcastle
FA Cups
Chelsea 7 - 6 Newcastle
League Cups
Chelsea 5 - 0 Newcastle
European Cups
Chelsea 1 - 0 Newcastle
Europa Leagues
Chelsea 1 - 1 Newcastle
Cup Winners' cups
Chelsea 2 - 0 Newcastle

Chelsea 21 Trophies
Newcastle 11 Trophies

So explain how we have " a long way to go before we "purchase" enough titles to catch up to the Geordies"?

Also Newcastles last Cup was 45 years ago, where as ours was 2 days ago.
And that trend doesnt look like changing anytime soon

Ummm... I'm not a Chelsea fan. Far from it.

Yeah it would be great if tickets cost a fiver, players earned a normal wage and every club had the same transfer power but that's not been the case for decades, certainly longer than I've been around.

Money has been a massive factor in football almost as long as football has existed. If you've ever seen my posts you'll know I don't have a lot of good things to say about Chelsea but they've pissed the league this season with a relatively low wage bill (at a guess, admittedly) compared with United and City and without a huge net spend in recent years (£55m in the last two seasons which barely buys you one top quality player nowadays).

Current Wage bills of all PL clubs

1 Manchester United £215.8m
2 Manchester City £205m
3 Chelsea £192.7m
4 Arsenal £166.4m
5 Liverpool £144m
6 Tottenham £100.4m
7 Newcastle United £78.3m
12 QPR £75.3m
10 Sunderland £69.5m
9 Everton £69.3m
8 Aston Villa £69.3m
15 West Bromwich £65.4m
14 West Ham United £63.9m
16 Stoke City £60.6m
11 Southampton £55.2m
13 Swansea City £48.1m
17 Hull City £43.3m
18 Crystal Palace £45.7m
19 Leicester City £36.6m
20 Burnley £21.5m

Only one title that we all play for each week, that is the English premier league, Sunderland have won it six times and runners up five times, even the FA cup is not what it used to be , also one thing you are forgetting is that Newcastle unlike Chelsea did not BUY their titles , please show some honesty and face the facts

Neither Newcastle nor Sunderland have won the league since the 30s. Football is barely the same sport in the modern era. All the money in the world doesn't guarantee a title- you need a bit more than that.

Supposing I put aside your juvenile and over simplified 12 year old supposition that Chelsea buy their titles (like every other title winner of the PL era), you said Chelsea have a long way to go before they can purchase enough titles to match the Geordies.....when we have already matched and bested their title haul?

And what have Sunderland got to do with anything? I hope you are not refering to Sunderland folk as Geordies.....because I have a few mates from Sunderland who would tear you apart if they heard talk like that.

Chelsea won the league on smallest wage bill out of top 4
