Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is lining up Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert, 33, as a potential replacement for Didier Drogba, 37, when he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer.(Mirror) It's like Suarez all over again I dunno lads I'm torn, he's a worldie for sure but we are just a poor club in need of money. Should we take the 80mil or demand hazard in exchange?
Liverpool have agreed terms with Martin Montoya, according to the Liverpool Echo. The Barcelona defender is set to leave the Nou Camp this summer after struggling to break into Luis Enrique's side. And the Reds are keen to bolster their defence with Kolo Toure and Glen Johnson likely to leave and Jon Flanagan suffering another setback.

These are the sort of big questions that life throws at you which the Mill just cannot answer. Blame the pea-sized brain, blame the fact that it is obscenely early in the morning or blame the fact that when everyone else in class was sitting straight and paying attention, the Mill was carving graffiti into the old wooden desks. However, there are questions that the Mill can answer. Did Jason London and his identical twin brother Jeremy ever make guest appearances on The Outer Limits? Yes! Before marrying his wife Ali in a pair of jeans and a white shirt while carrying a pocket knife, did Madison Bumgarner once go on a date with a girl called Madison Bumgarner? Yes! And where is Christian Benteke going to be playing his trade next season? Liverpool! Yeah, sorry about this Aston Villa fans. You had a great weekend didn’t you? There was the extra sunshine, the extra day off, the extra hours in bed, the extra time in the pub, the extra time out of that house away from all that nagging and noise and the extra three points from the win over Everton. Everything was going cola-flavoured lollipops wasn’t it? Until along comes Johnny Mill with a fat wet, fish tucked under its bingo wings and ... BLAOOW! ... smacked you with it right across the laughing gear, bringing you back to Monday morning reality. Oh yes. How we all hate reality. Realityschmality. But the reality of Villa’s situation means that they are going to find it hard to hold on to a striker who is banging in goals as if his life depended on it. He won’t come cheap though. Liverpool will have to smash open their piggy bank, look under the couch and check the thumb pockets in their jeans if they are to have the £30m Villa will ask them for in exchange for Mr Benteke. Here are some filler quotes from Leandro Bacuna to make it look like the Mill has done more work than it really has. “I live about one minute from him and go around his place,” boasted Bacuna. “We talk about his future a little bit but we don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s going to be hard to hang on to him.” He is not un-wrong. Wasn’t he the greatest thing since a see-through toaster? Wasn’t he going to be the antidote to every single problem at the club? Wasn’t he going to pick the club up on his shoulders and carry them to glory? Eh, no, not according to Louis van Gaal anyway. The Dutchman has been so impressed with Januzaj’s 10 minutes he has allowed the young man this season that he has decided to make Januzaj a season-long loan makeweight in a deal that will see a truck-load of cash and PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay go the other way. Incidentally – and yes this is more filler – history will smile on the Thrills. That first album had some really great, really pure pop tunes on it that captured the west coast at its best and the second one showed a real progression in their song writing. Saying that it was a bit cheesy when they brought all the kids out on stage for the encore at the Point that Christmas. Elsewhere. There is nothing else happening. Niente. Nada. Nowt. Niets. No, wait. There is. Tomas Rosicky is done with London. He misses his Prague. He misses the beautiful baroque architecture and that weird baby that crawls up the Zizkov TV Tower. He misses the pork, the beef, the dumplings, the beer, the fried cheese, the garlic soup, the fish soup and the red and white and cabbage. He misses how his great city has been turned into one giant stag party crammed with boneheaded drunks who fill the streets with their vomit and vile behaviour. He misses it so much he is thinking about doing one back to Sparta Prague but only if Arsène Wenger says he has about as much chance of playing next season as Arsenal do of winning the league. Mathieu Flamini could also be joining him in doing one from the Gunners but no club will publicly admit to being interested in him. Wonder why. Finally. Some say David de Gea is off to Real Madrid, some say he is sticking around Old Trafford. Does the Mill know the answer? What do you think? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/04/transfer-rumours-christian-benteke-liverpool#img-1
Metro: Reds get Lyon striker. please log in to view this image Liverpool have been cleared to move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window after he cast doubt over his future at the French club. Lacazette has been one of the form players in Europe this season, hitting 31 goals in 31 appearances to help his side mount a serious title challenge. Lyon President Jean Michel-Aulas had previously stated that any offers for Lacazette would be rejected, but the French international has raised fresh doubts over his future by admitting he will consider his situation at the end of the season. "I am good here, but after that I need to think about my progression, the future," he told French television. "We will see at the end of the season." The 23-year-old's comments mark a departure from his previous stance on his future, and although he would likely seek assurances about playing time ahead of Euro 2016, a substantial offer could see him depart Lyon for Anfield in the summer. This story has been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club.
so the translation is cos the player has said he might move that means LFC are the only club going to buy him. If not for the fact he was linked to cheslea in a swap for remy who's heart might give out at any time I'd half buy this muck... but in reality there's a queue for thes eplayers and lfc are not at the head of it.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will also "consider offers" for midfielder Oscar, according to SamiMokbel of the Daily Mail, who believes the Blues will spend avidly in the summer. Both players should be regarded as world-class targets for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who will be buoyed by his side's continued hunt for Champions League football. Lacazette notched his 27th Ligue 1 goal of the season during Lyon's win over Evian on Saturday, per WhoScored.com. The 23-year-old offers exactly what Liverpool need—pace, quality on the ball and a clinical instinct in front of goal—and admits he could depart during the summer. please log in to view this image Paul Gilham/Getty Images Although Lyon have confirmed they will reject offers for the division's top scorer, Lacazette's comments to French television suggest he isn't 100 percent sure about his future, per The Telegraph: "I am good here, but after that I need to think about my progression, the future. We will see at the end of the season." B/R UK's Sam Tighe recently suggested Lacazette should be one of Liverpool's "dream" targets this summer:
its the truth though.... weve not been invited to do anything. the club itself in france says it'll reject all. if the story said lacazette gives encouragemnt fine but it doesnt. it eggs on to the point lfc must be in for the record a new front 3 of depay, lacazette and coutinho would be exciting.
I've watched Kovacic 2-3 times in full games when BT show Inter v Lazio, Milan etc (teams better than Inter who are pretty poor). He's obviously quite stylish and seems to like getting involved from deep. Very hard to tell if he would succeed here though. Very hard to judge when Serie A and Inter are very slow... would describe their games as tepid. From what I gather I don't think Inter fans would be too gutted if he left, but then again they didn't mind Coutinho leaving because Kovacic came in the period to replace him.
No Flanagan is average, Joe Allen is average... neither is an insult cos neutrals or rivals would call them worse Delph is above average and milner? Well he might actually be good if his legs are not gone. Good but not very good
I always like to use the "would they sign for the bitters?" test. Milner - would sign for Everton as he's average Delph - Would sign for Everton as he's average Depay - Too good for Everton - he would turn them down Lacazette - Too good for Everton - he would turn them down It's a fun test we should apply to every signing, and interestingly almost all our summer signings last year passed the test, which explains why we have been so ****ing average. To improve as a team it's simple, we have to buy players that are a marked improvement on those in our starting 11, even if we have to pay them more than £120k per week...
