Isn’t the ‘Chester Cup’ these days totally draw dependent??? In the last 6 runnings only one horse drawn higher than 5 has obliged – its not just in 5 furlong sprints at that venue that you want a low ‘un. A remarkable stat for such a large field race. Good news for the ‘Gabrial’ gang is that all 3 monikered beasts have secured berths 5 and under! There have been whispers about Clive Cox’s Loaves And Fishes for a while and I guess tomorrow is judgement day re that one in the ‘Cheshire Oaks’. Bit surprised they didn’t wait for Saturday’s ‘Lingfield Oaks Trial’ though re this one as her dam won that race back in ’08.
