We deserve to go down right. We simply haven't shown enough quality to warrant staying up...but. How many shocking decisions have we suffered this season that have cost us points!

    I don't have the greatest of memories so I am sure you guys can add to this list considerably;

Handball not given from Charlie Austin's goalbound shot v Tottenham
Dunnes perfectly good winner against West Ham
Hazards dive when he actually fouled Vargas and got the winning Penalty v Chelsea
Aguero's handball goal v Man City
Sterlings dive to get a free kick in the home game v Liverpool

I don't remember too many times when we have got away with one!

No it doesn't.....There is many more we could list...Zamora's stone wall pen in the last minutes against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Put it this way, if technology like in Rugby was used in the Prem we would be in with a fight still...

Of course it doesn't even itself out over a season, we just say that to makes ourselves feel better.

Stick my man, you of all people know that from 4th downwards it never evens itself out. The bias is actually accentuating in my opinion and close to the situation in Spain.
Anyway, I know for a fact you have far more important things to do - Enjoy Windsor, God I used to love Windsor on Monday nights, are Letherby & Christopher still running the bars and catering?
Thanks for Racing Knight at Bev and King of Normandy at Wind - have added Elysian Fields at Bath.

For those of you not aware - and have a penchant for the odd wager - following Stick will definitely more than even itself out

Aussie, my name became foreshortened as a result of people complaining about my moniker on the old BBC site. I was originally "sticktheblueflag", a reference obviously to what the scum can do with their flag. I was forced to change it ironically I think after complaints from Rangers fans. As many people know me as "stick" these days as know be my real name so I guess I am stuck with it. No helmet and no jump suit......sorry to disappoint!

I've just had a brief look at the Not606 Horse Racing forum for the first time and (on a very cursory look) what a civilized and gentlemanly place it is, a credit to all the posters on it.

I like a bet when I'm actually at the racecourse, but I don't go that often (even though I can walk to Warwick racecourse from my house. Last time I was there was to attend a driver re-education course after a speeding fine). Next time I go I will have a look at the tips on here first, as I usually walk away having lost my 'this is how much I am prepared to lose today without feeling bad' pot, though I always have a good time. I used to go a lot to the Happy Valley and Shatin courses in Hong Kong when I lived there decades ago. I try not to stereotype, but man do the Chinese like a punt.

If you put a post on the daily thread saying you are going on a particular way the regular posters go out of their way to find you a winner. We have a common goal on there, to help everyone beat the bookie.

Thank you Stick, I will certainly take the advice given! I doubt I'll be able to reciprocate though, at my age picking a winner on a regular basis is a skill I don't think I will be able to develop.

I'm convinced we're still paying for all the luck we had last year. Including the play off final when we were garbage yet somehow won. I said at the time I'd take whatever after that glorious day so can't complain

Yes, we are unlucky with decisions going against us. That has no bearing on the simple fact that we are just not good enough to stay up. There is no hard lucky story.

I was thinking the same we haven't had the rub of the green at all and had a lot of costly wrong decisions against us. One of the reasons along with the money factor that I dislike in football these days

The smaller teams never get the decisions on a regular basis and so it never evens out.

No it does not even itself out. We gained maybe a point or two ( Greens handball against swansea etc.) with bad decisions but have lost at least ten points because of them. Last ones happened saturday at anfield. The ball was never out, Onuohas first yellow was never yellow and it was never a penalty. Other bad decision during the season have listed here already.
