I have decided to empty my Betfair account on Legatissimo in the fillies classic. So that's a £2 win leaving 77p in my account.

Only one thing stands out for me in this race. How the hell is Tiggy Wiggy only 10/1?

After the paddock parade and interview with Jim Bolger I'll have to have a saver on Lucida

I think that makes it just over evens to 2/1 any one of 3 to win

Whoever put the bandage on Fadhayyil ought to be sacked. So lucky the filly did not fall

Wow superb from Ryan Moore - another Classic and I imagine that horse will go off a short priced favourite for the Oaks

What a weekend for Coolmore. Feel for Lucida backers there, Kevin 'round the houses' Manning. Well done any winners today.

Legatissimo has enough stamina in her pedigree for the Oaks but she's not totally guaranteed to stay. Still worthwhile having a saver on her. Tiggy Wiggy surprised me by finishing third, really didn't think she'd finish in the first 10! I still think her ideal trip is 6 furlongs but she might run in the Coronation at Royal Ascot.

I've nothing against the Irish, far from it - they enrich our sport in both codes immensely. But I would like to see someone else winning some of the big races - share the success around a bit? Coolmore have become so dominant on the flat that the likes of Khaled Abdullah and Sheikh Hamdan have become also-rans (the less said about Godolphin the better) and Willie Mullins continues to be different gravy over the sticks. Now, listen, these people are the dogs bollocks and deserve every bit of their success, but is the recipe for success really that difficult? It would be nice to see some of the lesser lights of our game taking some of the big prizes. I guess that's why I was so chuffed when Coneygree won the Gold Cup. Just off to watch a replay of that ........................ <ok>
