Hazard plays well in spite of Jose, not because of him. :bandit:

I am really sick of saying that CL is not a done deal for United. The only consolation is that the RS do not seem to want it and Brenda is doing his best to **** it up for them. I'll say it again: people who think it is all sewn up are living in cloud cuckoo land" unfortunately it seems that includes the players too.

LVG is competing with Brenda who is more of a muppet.

Sqeaky bum time until mathematically safe. <ok>

Agree wit that, you lot have been begging us to take 4th and we keep saying no thanks<laugh>

At this stage 4 point lead and 3 games, you're being silly, it's over as far as us chasing 4th.

If ye failed, and we got 4th, vG would deserve the sack and you know it.

Had Moyes lost 4 in a row? I remember the huge palava when he lost 3 in a row. No such criticism for Louis I see. He could set a new record <ok>

Agree with the sentiment Christian though there's probably a bit of frustration coming out there.

This is why I was saying we should drive for 2nd a couple of weeks ago bcos if everyone thinks top 4 is a done deal this sort of ****e is exactly what happens.

van Gaal has just not done a good enough job. If Spurs and us managed to turn in a half deceent season you'd be 7th like.

I hate comparing him to Fergie but he would have been challenging with this squad of players.

Now I'm NOT saying I expected that from LVG - someone new to the club, the league, the squad - BUT at specific periods throughout this season I expected a more convincing consolidation of top 4 AND there were plenty of opportunities to secure 2nd and even a domestic cup run.

    He has impressed and underwhelmed.

Christian I know you think money can rebuild United. But do you think LVG is right man to spend it?

I know you are wumming (attempting to limply <laugh> ) but I'll play along.

I do not think that money alone will rebuild united. We've come out of an unprecedented unrepeatable long period of dominance, it was not caused by huge amounts of money, big support or big names. Although they are important. The cause of that long period was one man. For whom things came together as well as his own genius. I am saying this because people have to understand that just because we are United, because we have huge amounts of money and buy over expensive players we'll automatically win matches against the lower placed teams.

We will need to spend about £300m which means strengthening the squad, not putting it at the mercy of fitness and suspensions of key players. We need to have the right manager. For me, LVG has done enough to deserve another year. He has not come to terms with the mass defending which many teams do when playing United. SAF became the master at making sure these teams get battered at OT.

So good players ( the GGs MO seems to be the most expensive ones) to cover all the positions and a good manager are needed. No matter what happens re CL I still maintain we will have the period of uncertainty and chaos that I predicted would happen for a few years.

Everything you've said about the influence of one man applies equally to Chelsea. Chelsea fans can see what's happened over the last 5 years at CFC and now with Mourhino back. All fine and well with him but without him they didnt fair too well except a lucky CL win.

Palace are unlikely to sit back and refuse to play any kind of football. They also have the one of the worst home records in the league.

    Nailed on 0-0

The main difference is that Chelsea did not have to fill a massive void experienced by United. And yes unless you've been through this it IS a big deal.

0-0 hardly makes a difference. United have now to get something from all their matches. Chelsea if they've got the title will be beaten by the RS. So let's hope (unlikely) that palace get a point today.

Chelsea wont lie down for Liverpool especially at home. Considering Jose has nothing but contempt for Liverpool and despises the club, he will ensure Chelsea win the game. Its also their last home game.

Liverpool also go to Stoke, so effectively have the two hardest away games you can imagine. Neither will want to lose.

Their other game is Palace. Being their last home game they will probably win it.

Ive no idea why people suddenly think Liverpool will win all 3 games, especially agaisnt the 3 sides Liverpool would have hoped not to face in these circumstances. Its entirely possible that in a week its all over. It might not be of course but we go and beat Palace, then Liverpool lose to a Chelsea side in party mode (why would they rest anyone, they have nothing else to play for) its done. Even a draw at palace and a liverpool lose ends it or a United win and a draw between Liverpool and Chelsea.

We need to convert our chances v Palace. We create plenty.
