Rubbish in the full backs and Jones is a liability in any defense. I would assume: DeGea Jones Hummels Smalling Shaw Blind Gundargon Fellaini Mata Rooney Bale Weak in the full back areas and Smalling is a liability in any defense.
Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Liverpool have taken the surprising step of opening contract talks with second choice goalkeeper Brad Jones. The Aussie shot-stopper was widely expected to leave Anfield when his current deal expires this summer. However, the Reds have now decided to make the 33-year-old an offer to stay put. Jones has made 25 appearances since his £2.3million move from Middlesbrough five years ago – serving as the deputy to first Pepe Reina and then Simon Mignolet. He was handed his chance back in December after Mignolet’s slump in form but a thigh injury suffered at Burnley on Boxing Day wrecked his hopes of a sustained run in the side. Since regaining fitness, he hasn’t featured with Mignolet’s revival cementing his status as Liverpool’s No 1. The Reds had planned to sign a keeper this summer to replace Jones and compete with the Belgium international but the fact that they have belatedly approached him over a new deal suggests there has been a change of heart. “There have been discussions,” confirmed Rodgers. “Obviously, Brad is in his last year but nothing has been resolved on that.”
Liverpool transfer news: Raheem Sterling ‘going nowhere’ in summer even without new contract div.slideshow img { display: none; } please log in to view this image please log in to view this image 1 / 1 Liverpool will not sell Raheem Steling in the summer Sterling's current deal runs out in 2017 and he has already rejected a £100,000-a-week contract extension
But it's not like he's crucial to us atm? i think 50% of fans would rather sell him than him sign a new contract... So 99.9% would much rather sell this summer for 40/50m than lose him for 3m compensation the following yeae
Benteke is far from average. He's a quality striker who can score all sorts of different goals. He's a 1 in 2 PL striker, the only question mark over him for me, is his fitness record.
Depends how serious city are about rebuilding their team. Id take anything around £35m personally. Can invest that into a proper striker and go towards a new midfielder.
Lukaku is much quicker and has more potential imo, but they're similar in many ways, not least the regularity with which they find the net
We will Without question if we are strong aka arsenal and Suarez He's a muppet but he's English Do you seriously think Barkley.... Whilshire or even say I dunno any forward in the England d set up should be going for a fortune under the proposed rules And don't say welbeck Utd let him go not arsenal swooping in to twist anyone's arm
