A win against Forest today will take us into the top half and give us more than 60 points. Is this an acceptable tally given the dire quality of football City have served up. Or does this say more about the standard of the division than we have been able to get away with as many points?

03/04 - 13th and 65 points
04/05 - 16th and 54 points
05/06 - 11th and 60 points
06/07 - 13th and 64 points
07/08 - 12th and 64 points
08/09 - 7th and 74 points
09/10 - 4th and 76 points
10/11 - 4th and 80 points
11/12 - 6th and 75 points
12/13 - 1st and 87 points
14/15 - ?

As shown above this could be our lowest points tally since 2005 (or 2006 if we win) but we could exceed 4 of those placements with a win. Also shows how our expectation have increased <yikes>

Expectation and resources.

Some of those early totals you list we barely had a team. The year DJ took over it was all freebies. Journeyman players that DJ turned into a team. This year we have far better players (before the exodus) than we could have dreamed about in those earlier years. Ole / Slade have done less with more.

Spot on there Sheepy - and I've backed it too........<laugh>

I do some regular numbers on the lottery through habit remote, but I really prefer my odds a bit shorter than that. <ok>

I'm going for City to come away with an end of season draw today - I've got a tenner on at 14/5. Forest are even money favourites but I think this could be a bore draw with no one really wanting to win it.

I could be wrong though. <doh>

The best thing that could happen today is win lose or draw is the club thank Russell for all his work but announce we are going our separate ways.

Otherwise we are looking at a relegation battle,

Slade Out.
