Great for the Irish racing public to see their champ putting in an exhibition round - really hope he stays sound for the next 3 or 4 years, he could smash all the records.

Machine

How can one owner have so much quality? Douvan, Faugheen and Vautour. Wow. A golden age.

What's the smallest Champion Hurdle field ever? Nothing's going to want to take him on.

You'd want to know who picks them out for Ricci to buy Bob - must have a hell of an eye for a horse.

Interesting debutant for Don McCain here at Bangor - Sign Manual, by Motivator out of a reasonably successful Machiavellian mare. Could be anything but McCain likes to start his good ones at Bangor so have chucked an Ayrton Senna at it

Faugheen is the most talented 2 miler hurdler since Istabraq. I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts about Douvan being a worthy opponent next season <laugh>

Well that was impressive - looks like a nice recruit for McCain

Douvan goes to Arkle (well chasing anyway!) so not taking on Faugheen. Why would you stick 2 horses into the Champion when you can piss up in two races :)

4 of 6 in this from the Mullins stable ........................ be amazed if Nicholls Canyon doesn't take this. But then again ................ <whistle> <laugh>

That's probably why he's been available at 5/6, with all the 2nd and 3rd strings pulling off suprises all week

Wow. After watching Faugheen I must say I was still blown away by that. Superb. Walsh is a master at riding from the front, left them for dead off the final bend.
