  1. Unless Brod as completely lost it and thinks three at the back is the future no matter what then I think we should be expecting to see a FB or two arriving this summer. Switching back to a four would see us needed a stronger more defensive minded midfielder too as well as another CB.

No matter what system we play, we need at least one quality striker.

We should definitely go back to the back 4.

I have high hopes for Manquillo and Moreno, and believe they can develop here at the club.

Agree that we need more cover - another left back to give Moreno competition, and maybe use Wisdom as RB or bring in another.

  8. Johnson's going to be leaving so we'll have five FB left at the club...

    - Mankiller; scheduled to be with us for the second year of his loan but since he's been ignored for the second half of the season, is he rated by Brod? Maybe we'll send him back if the option is available? Defensive
    - Wisdom; returning from his loan, same question remains with Brod rating of him? Can play CB too. Defensive
    - Flanno; we know Brod rates him and he is part of future plans. Can play either side but is limited going forward (bar a screamer against Spurs <whistle>) Defensive
    - Moreno; not sure I'd call him a FB but will do for sake of argument. Can't defend for **** but is young and will get better. Attacking
    - Enrique; like Mankiller, he's been cast aside for the latter half of the season. Injury prone too. Attacking

We also have Ilori who can play RB but who knows what will happen there. Defensive or Attacking...?

IMO, the right side is too defensive and the left side is too attacking.

I actually think there is a deeper reason we've been playing three at the back. I don't think it is down to the FBs we have. I think Brod wants to be more attacking whilst maintaining a three man midfield and keeping the width. Attacking FBs in a 433 (or whatever) wasn't working because the CBs were getting exposed.

    Good post Gez.

Enrique and Johnson are leaving. They offer nothing to the club.

Brod certainly doesn't rate Manq but this kid is very good.

Moreno is a lot better in a back 4. He's not a wing back and he has struggled. With Sakho next to him in a back 4, he's a lot better.

Would rather keep Wisdom and Ilori as CB's and let them develop there. But Wisdom at least provides versatility.

  10. Everton and Newcastle have made contact with Crystal Palace over a £15m Yannick Bolasie deal, with Stoke also keen to sign the 25-year-old DR Congo winger.(Daily Mirror)

    Prediction of Tobes logic...
    Yesterday; **** player.
Today; best thing since slice bread.

Pogba and Cavani to swap clubs?

If what Italian website Tuttosport say is true, the transfer chiefs of Paris St Germain and Juventus could be spending a lot of time in each other's company this summer.

They repeat a rumour that Paris St Germain have already agreed a post-tax package worth £138,000 a week with 22-year-old former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Apparently PSG striker Edinson Cavani, 28, could be heading in the opposite direction.

Everton have lennon to buy .... why would they want another winger to throw on the pile of ****e.. sorry wingers they already have?

anyway... you have to give it to stoke they have the attitude to grow but I just feel they have just about reached thier peak now. they need to expand the britannia first.

I really like stoke especially now pulis is long gone. great fans, passion, give a hard game to all, try their best

138k per week is a pittance for pogba IMO. that means the story is ****.
