Austin does not seem to me as a very good penalty taker.

He has missed two vital ones and even the one he scored, against Arsenal, he was fortunate as the keeper got a hand to it. Each penalty he has simply drilled virtually straight or slightly to (his) left and it is obvious that keepers are getting wise to this.

I'd let Phillips take them. He seems to be our best striker of the ball.

I have the delight of spending the week in Brussels wearing a suit and trying not to lose my temper. This is my outlet for sarcasm that will go over the head of my colleagues and sundry enemies here, Apologies in advance.
 
when we were awarded the penalty.. I mentioned to the guy next to me.. Austin should not take penalties he's not as good as we think.. he only scores when the keeper dives the wrong way.. devonqprboy is spot on

I can empathise with you there. A week in Brussels? Good grief, Brussels is to boring as what John Wayne was to westerns. I googled your bee question btw. They spend winter keeping the queen bee warm. They form a circle around her in the lower hive. This helps maintain a steady 80 degrees temperature to ensure her survival.

When Charlie missed his penalty on Saturday, I had an immediate flashback to when Adel missed his against Norwich a couple of years ago. I remembered experiencing the feeling of impending doom.
 
Do any of our other players have the balls to take a penno instead? I doubt it.
 
Austin's penalties have been poor, even the ones that have gone in. Phillips seems to be a very good striker of the ball so I would offer him the opportunity. Charlie probably won't be here next season, so we will need a new penalty taker and, hopefully, Matty will be around to do the honours.
 
Austin has cost us 4 points this season and IMO isn't what i call a QPR player but by god he has put in some brilliant performances and I thought he wasn't up to the football and was wrong. He is certainly a long way behind Kane IMO. I like Vargas and thought he was a great loan in by Harold but never played in the right position.Vargas could have as good as Sanchez at Arsenal IMO.
There will be a long summer to talk about what went wrong etc … we have games still to play and the task on staying in the top flight first
