I thought the season had fizzled out and we had nothing left to play for. Least now with an impending relegation battle we've got something to care about..... Though if I'm honest I'm still struggling

I don't even have a glass, just one of ACS's old rancid piss pots with a big hole in the bottom.

Relegation will be a disaster. We won't come straight back up. Lose on Saturday and I fear that could be it for us. West Brom will be our last hope, they'll play for a 0-0 at our place and that point should just be enough.

Agree. Relegation could cripple us this time and may take years to recover from.

last time we had a strong core of players who were too good for the championship. This current lot will struggle in League 1.

What's so good about the premiership under the current ownership ? No hope, almost no entertainment, no future plan other than make Mike money - go down,Sky money goes, gate receipts and shirt sales as a percentage of income vastly increases therefore we the fans matter or he sells as the business is non viable as his marketing tool / cash cow

I think we are in really deep. We are absolutely shambolic right now. Teams playing us just rock up so confident of getting something. Even if we go ahead the opposition don't care as they know they will get enough chances up the other end all they have to do is go at us and we can't cope.

I don't really care what happens now, and that includes relegation. Yeah it might cripple us but I've honestly lost all interest. I gave our tickets out for Saturday, then attempted to find a decent stream as I can't shake the addiction. I tried two and they were ****, I thought "ah **** it". I just shut it down, watched the racing (a real sportsman in Tony McCoy), caught a bit of snooker and the cricket. I didn't even bother with MOTD or Football First. I watched no football all weekend and to be honest enjoyed it.

I think I'm pretty much done with Newcastle and football in general until something major changes. I can see my golf handicap plummeting on the plus side.

We go down we aren't coming back up. We'll sit around in the championship for a number of seasons just pottering along. The club is in dire straits on and off the pitch. That may be a blessing in disguise though. It will rid us of Mike Ashley as he won't stick around. All this talk of financial self-sufficiency and making a massive profit. Great. Woop de ****ing do. Ashley and Charnley have taken the gamble too far and it's going to cost us dearly. I just hope that one day the pair of them receive a massive dose of karma for what they have done to the club.

Look on the bright side, only Four more defeats to go this season.

If we go down, I think I'll be pushing up daisies before promotion back to the PL comes around again.

Putting balls in little holes - sounds like you should be supporting Sunderland.
