My thoughts were that if we didn't beat West Ham today that is it, and we didn't..

Personally I think Tony has to take the blame even if he means well. He didn't learn anything from last time in the premiership.

Harry should have gone at the start of the season but definitely after the away game against West Ham.

Too many old players, and Rio what was that all about?

No suitable striker to play along side Austin a recipe for disaster.

In the championship next year i hope we have no players over 30. We will lost those who want to go probably, Austin, Fer, Phillps. On loans (Vagas , Isla) will go, as will out of contracts, (Green, Wright-Phillips, Zamora). In fact we should have very few players left.

Add to all that a transfer embargo and eye-watering fine to avoid expulsion and the wheels really will be coming off...

Agree that we're down & that TF takes a lot of the blame particularly with the game of brinksmanship played with HR during Jan & not strengthening at all. HR obviously also has to take blame i.e. basing the squad around 5-3-2 & abandoning after a few games.

Disagree about the old players & some of our best signings over the past seasons have been aging players i.e. Hill, Nelson, Dunne etc it's just about getting the right mix.

Problem is the old players are okay for the Championship but you need speed in the premiership. The teams that get promoted and do better tend to have younger players and add to them some decent additions. For me Dunne, Hill, Zamora are too old for the speed of the premiership. Not doubting their commitment but if they were horses they would have been retired.

Basically we need a win against either Man C or Liverpool and we will be back to where we would have expected to be going into the Newcastle game, even a point better off.

Going to be tough but not impossible.

Problem is Hull and Leicester both won and Sunderland got a draw, our targets are moving away from us making the 'safe' points target higher whilst we have less than expected after our draw.

Before yesterday I thought 35 would be the safe target not counting goal difference, yesterday's results make that total optimistic. We need three wins and even Newcastle being dragged into it means they may be battling for survival against us.

Sorry, but I can't see more than 6 points maximum and only if Newcastle and Leicester are safe by time we play them...

I expected Leicester to win and think they will escape.

I still think Burnley are gone.

Sunderland getting a draw and Hull winning at Palace were real killers for us and I agree have made our task an awful lot harder but we have to keep fighting.

We have no chance now as far as I'm concerned. First thing we need to do now is draw up list of pretty much a new squad and manager and make sure we get our targets. Anyone else think if we had brought in deeney we would have done a lot better recently..I do.

I think we are probably down but this time last week Hull and Sunderland were definitely down, 2 weeks ago Leicster were definitely down, this week we are definitely down. There is no reason we can't cause an upset at anfield next week and if other results go our way the picture changes again. Nothing is definitely definite yet. Wouldn't it be just like us to beat Liverpool and Citeh?

We can't score or stop anyone half decent from scoring so can't see it. Depressing yes.

Only according to clowns on here. Who were the idiots who were saying a team who were 2 points above us with a game in hand were doomed whereas we had a good chance?

C'mon show yourselves cos that kind of sh*t should be outlawed on this Board

The bookies have us at 1/14 to go, Burnley 1/8, and Sunderland at 2/5.

We only have 4 games left, Sunderland Hull and Leicester have a game in hand.
Honestly, at this stage 18th would be an achievement. Sorry to be so bleak about our prospects.

The writing was on the wall on the eve of the start of the season when we heard Remy was going. Tony and Harry would have a plan B surely? Then we see a slightly rattled-looking TF telling Sky that Harry thinks we have enough up front.

Christmas transfer window, we sell Mutch while all our competitors are strengthening. We're getting what we deserve.

If only it were that easy. Until we sort out the FFP fine we basically will be in limbo. First, we don't know whether we will be in the Championship, so how are we going to attract either players or a manager? We will also face a transfer embargo for a specified number of windows, so planning will be impossible. It really is all coming home to roost. I won't be surprised if TF jumps ship as well so we face a grim prospect for some time to come...
