because when Carrick or Herrera are injured Rooney has to play in midfield which completely cocks up the system! Also Carrick is getting on a bit.

Also very good to see us getting deals put in place early on. Nothing worse than scrapping for players late on in the window. You end with a Balotelli!

Only Brenda would have had the delusion of trying to deal with a player whom many top managers had given up on.

He is the sort of player who you would pay another club to take off your hands never mind getting millions for him <laugh>
