i think with the exception of maybe whoever the prime minister is, the rest should be forced to use public services not private, see how quickly the ****s want to cut costs then!!!!

they are supposed to represent the people, so why not use public services like the rest of us poor batards!!!

They won't answer any pertinent questions. They deflect. They provide answers to questions that had not been asked. They don't carry out their promises when in power.

Yet people believe somehow this time it will be different. It is like the constantly cheating partner reassuring their other half that this time things will be better/different. :)

The main problem is the media. You have partisan almost sports rivalry sort of media bias. Add that to the national broadcast services, which is nothing but PR. Each paper or news outlet is alligned to a particular party and essentially run PR for them whilst attacking opponentsof their preferred party or ideology
The voters now almost act like sports fans, rivalry between Tory and Labour and UKIP ect, who all want to win, it seems what may happen after the elections is irrelevant to many as long as their side wins. The media polarise opinion, and many people vote tory or labour cos they always have.

Not speaking for ALL voters here, just pointing out some of the problems of the modern political sphere.


I asked a question here and it was pertinent to this subject, no one answered, maybe one could now.

If Farage found out David cameron had did something quite nasty, or some other skullduggery, would he A. Call the police or B. Use it as a card to get a favour, a get out of jail free card?

The soup they swim in is another world to the one we live in, there are rules, and one of those rules is you don't out each other, the game is to all have something on each other so no one breaks ranks. That is how it has always been.

I can guarantee you that any totally utterly clean politician would never ever be trusted by the rest.<ok> That means no totally clean politician will ever amount to anything and will be relegated to the fringes of politics and slated by the media apparatus.

The only place you will find said honest politicians is at local level, where they can do no harm to those above. Local level is totally disconnected from party politics. Party politics is what runs the show, ergo, voters live in an illusion

Nigel Farage skilfully avoided answering whether he thought British actor Idris Elba would make a brilliant first black James Bond by putting himself in the frame for the role instead.

Asked by Magic Radio host Nick Snaith whether he felt theLuther star would fit the character, the Ukip leader said that “you’ve got to be faithful to Ian Fleming and the original writer”.

The original writer who is, in fact, Ian Fleming.
Instead, Farage said: “It has to be male, it has to be a rogue of some description. I'm not handsome enough but I'm certainly rogue. I'd give it a go. How about that?”

Idris Elba in 'Luther'His comments on 007 follow Ed Miliband’s suggestion earlier this month. The Labour leader felt Rosamund Pike would be a perfect first female Bond.
Farage also discussed his taste in music, which, unlike the other leaders of the parties, didn’t seem to have been dictated to him by a press advisor hot on chart bands like Bastille.

C. Make sure that he (or someone from his party) hasn't done any of the same thing then leak it to the Tory supporting press.

The election is just a 5-yearly (or less) circus attempting to convince the public that the illusion of democracy exists.

Politics\elections have been an illusion of choice for centuries.

Us pesky plebs have a penchant for overthrowing kings and such, politics and "democracy" were the solution to that particular problem.

if it weren't so, plebiscites would be a very commot thing, yet they are almost non existant.

The biggest threat now to the "system" is an informed united public.

Media, step forward <laugh>

I still expect a last week surge for the incumbent Tories, as there was in '87 and '92. I remember some vox pop debate before the '87 election, and most were all saying how beastly/greedy/nasty/wicked the Tories were, but at the end, when they were asking who they'd vote for, they went to this middle-aged woman from Hemel-Hempstead, who up until then had been the most ardent critic of the welfare cuts, and she said "Oh I'm voting Conservative. I've just got a big mortgage and a house extension, and I don't trust Labour to look after people like me...."

Just like the Scottish independence vote, there's always enough people who'll shout the odds about what's fair and right in public, but in private it's all about fear and self-interest. The guff about SNP just gives some an excuse, because who the **** REALLY believes the SNP having influence on the government (or Len McCluskey, who's evidently the new BOB Crow, according to the Mail - Bob Crow who incidently was a head of a union NOT affiliated to Labour) is worse than the grip that Murdoch has on all public affairs? This is the ****er who refused to back the No vote in the Scottish referendum, yet here he is now getting his papers to make out Sturgeon as the new Arthur Scargill. Labour should respond to that twatty vid of Milliband dancing to Sturgeon's tune with Cameron licking Murdoch's arse.

People bottled it in 87 because old Labour was still relatively fresh in their minds and they didn't trust them with the economy due to the Union lead disarray of the 70's. They trusted the Tories more, which was a sad indictment on the opposition of the day.

92 Labour were home and hosed, until the electorate stood in the booths and decided that they could n't elect a Ginger Welshman and kept with the worst Govt in living history.

Whatever happens this time around there's no way the Tories will end up with an overall majority.

i will be very surprised if any government from now on gets a majority, untrustworthy bunch of ****s the lot of them, at least if no majority they cant push their own crap through so easily hopefully.

Dunny about Lib Dem and Tory, but back home, it didn't stop the majority party making lackeys of Labour, labour literally did as they were told.

Have the lib dems tempered the tories at all since last elections in areas where policies collide?
 
not sure to be honest, i keep hearing torries are trying to take credit for what the libs wanted pushed through, but they are still all ****s either way.
