Do we want brighton safe before sat or not ?

The question is whether needing the points will make them nervous, and therefore more prone to error, or whether it will motivate them more in the game. The alternative of being safe by Saturday raises the question of whether that will make them relaxed, without any incentive to win, or whether being will relaxed will make them play better.

I have no answer to any of those questions but, as Mark says, we should be able to beat them regardless. That, of course, does not mean we will.
 
Think it also makes no difference. They are practically safe anyhow and even if Millwall win tonight they could lose later on Saturday with Brighton losing to us early and still be safe because of their superior goal diff. It might make them play for a draw but its all if buts and maybe's.

Millwall is all but down (thats sad lol ) the question was is it better for Brighton to play without fear .The other point is if they are safe then the manager could blood a few young lads or try things different im voting for Millwall down tonight And yes we should beat them either way BUT this is football and we are watford
 
I was very impressed with the team's approach against a stubborn Birmingham side on Saturday. Sure we huffed and puffed a little but there was no panic and they stuck to the task. If, and I know it's a big if, we get more of the same over the last 3 or so hours of the season we should be fine.
 
The FL also need to sort out the Rotherham issue. If they lose their three points for winning whilst fielding an ineligible player then both they and Millwall have it all to play for. I think Brighton are safe realistically if not mathematically only because I think there's little chance of the other teams picking up enough points to overhaul them.
Brighton are at the Smoggies for their las game. Millwall could do it, but Blackburn tonight, Derby at home and the doggies away is a big ask. Rotherham have Norwich and Reading at home, Leeds away. Wigan have the doggies at home and Brentford away.
Millwall and Wigan are most likely to go down but if they both win one and Rotherham fail to pick up points then at least one of those two will stay up.
An incredible season.
 
Do we actually care ? If their state of mind matters that much, then we don't deserve to be where we are - i.e. the best bl--dy team in the division.

Spot on JT - club history is on the line here and if that's not enough then worrying about what might happen with Brighton tonight certainly won't be!

That was a strange game. But looking back at the line up maybe you can see why. Played with just Vydra up front (Deeney injured), Dyer and Doyley started. Strangest of all was the benc
