Bout time i did a Comm **** thread.

All these people drowning, trying to flee their country, or maybe an excuse to fleece the world, or maybe more sinister motives.

Should there be a more hard line approach, turn them back, sink the fookers, or just say welcome..

I saw a speech by the pope, a day or 2 ago, saying more should be done...aye alreet then, ya nonce.

Embrace, sink, or turn back to where they ****ing came from... whats your view/

IMO these are the people who really do need our help. If they're willing to risk their lives to sail across an ocean in little more than a ****ing dinghy to get away from where they live then we should embrace them. It's the slimy ****ers who come here to earn more money and send it back to their families where the cost of living is a tenth what it is here that we need to deal with.

In the vast majority of cases, taking such a massive risk just to escape their country usually means they're from somewhere war-torn or being terrorised by some group or other, not because they just want to earn a bit more dough for their families.

where are these boats coming from, some war torn country?

how are they allowed to leave in mass numbers.?

Presumably, aye. They aren't allowed to leave, hence why hundreds of them climb on pieces of scrap that you wouldn't dare get on in a swimming pool, and sail across the ocean in them.

Utter bullshit. they are coming across on fully fledged boats, not pieces of wood.

Simply not the case, they are cramming like sardines in their hundreds onto barely seaworthy vessels that were built for probably around 20 men. A quick google search of "immigrants boat" would open your eyes to that. They're taking massive gambles with their lives, make no mistake.

Hardly a peice of scrap wood, as you would say.

so you havn't talked about where they are coming from, and just as to how they get to these boats, and where they are leaving from...surely its the problem of the host nation for turning a blind eye, or taking back handers, whilst the rest of the world are meant to feel guilty....

like i said...utter bullshit..

You'd sail across a choppy ocean in a big rowing boat? Fair enough you're a braver man than me <laugh> As you say, it is the fault of the corrupt countries that leave them in such a dire situation, but these are normal people who want to escape the atrocities of their homeland, they should be allowed to do that imo.

Probably because of all the borders being blocked off...Perhaps the world just hasn't turned me as cynical as it has you yet. Saying you are "sick" of the adverts about little children who walk 5 miles for a sip of dirty water tells me that any remaining human emotion or sympathy left you a long time ago.

I object to organisations (whose executives cream off massive salaries) trying to send me on a guilt trip while the aid (to which I already contribute) is creamed off by the corrupt leaders.

The problem is within the countries the people are trying to get away from, not the EU.
