Time for us Saints fans to grow up and stop flinging brickbats at Tottenham!! What has happened has happened!!! We would do exactly the same when we think a better job offer comes along!!

Can we not mention the Spurs game again this week.

I'm gutted that I'm flying out to the US for my daughter's wedding and am missing my 1st Premier league home game ever at St Mary's (that includes the first time we were there!).

At least can you all be nice and mention it from Thursday as I doubt I'll have much access to the internet for a couple of days :)

Can't promise that Thereisonlyoneno7, but do have a fabulous trip to the US. I'm not looing forward to the day I have to give my girl away... knowing we are similar ages, I guess you were a bit of an earlier starter than me as my daughter is 13 in June, so (hopefully) a wedding is a few years off.

No tears, hope the waistline shrunk enough for you and most of all really enjoy the day - it'll be a special one for you.

Moaning about football fans getting overexcited about "Judas" players / managers is a bit like moaning at children for shouiting "He's behind you!" at a pantomime. Come on, kids, don't you realise they know he's behind them??

Football is theatre. Enjoy it.

If we were worried that Villa might actually go and win the thing, we really shouldn't. I see that Jon Moss has been appointed to ref the final which should ensure that "big team bias" prevails in the cup as it does in the league. It's as good as got Arsenal's name on it for this year already. Mind you, it might be amusing to watch the great big galumph struggle to keep up with play as he practices his inimitable style of refereeing from a distance.

While trying to find the old League Cup thread I found the FA Cup thread from way back. Just bringing it up-to date so that when we need an FA Cup thread again, we can reuse this one. :1980_boogie_down:

I like history as much as the future. It's the damned present day that's gets me. <laugh>

Incidentally, if you read It's Only A Game's post [two posts previous] from late April 2015, it was mere weeks from us trouncing them 6-1 with our best team in many years. And no Dusan playing that day either.
