'Bigot': "person who holds an opinion obstinately and is intolerant towards those who disagree" Thus - Medro Pendes = Bigot.
"Obsess v. occupy the thoughts continually" Medro is also obsessive - his continuous rants about Neil Lennon are abundant proof of that as well.
Pedro Mendes, is without doubt the biggest bigot on these forums. Despite the threats and danger Neil Lennon has to endure since Celtic beat his beloved Rangers last January he has constantly written unsubstantiated dribble about Neil Lennon in particular and Celtic in general. He has never found it in his heart to write anything remotely neutral about Neil Lennon or Celtic. Maybe I am judging him wrong, maybe he is not bigoted but criminally and dangerously insane. What is also difficult to take is that other Rangers fans come on to these pages and actually back him up. Its bad enough that we have a bigot, or an insane poster on our pages without other idiots from Rangers egging him on by supporting him foolishly. Leave the clown alone.
ONE thread! I don't think that could be considered obsessive behaviour by anyone with more than one brain cell! Unlike your friend's numerous obsessive outpourings of bile on Neil.
I just think he's a homosexual orange bastard. So call me a bigot, I don't give a ****, I'm just telling it the way I see it
Prestonbear, all decent posters know that Pedro Mendes is a bigot. The fact that you of your own free will try to support him and fault decent Celtic posters makes me wonder are you also a bigot. Jimmy McNulty. I am sure Pedro is Orange, he certainly would never have a girl friend because he is totally fascinated by Neil Lennon and I cannot see any man or woman claiming him to be one of theirs. Lets face it, who would want him.
So because I disagree with you I'm a bigot???? ****ing tool. As Billy Connolly once said 'It does'nt matter if you support Rangers or Celtic you will be a bigot to the other side' and you have just proved that point.
Preston -I think quoting from Billy Connolly, as a philosophical truth is dubious to say the least. However, each to their own. Disagreeing/having differing opinions is one thing and should make for good debate but is it quite another to come out with the bile that Medro does. If he doesn't recognize that he should desist from these disgusting outpourings then he should be isolated by all decent posters on both sides. Obviously, this is just my opinion but I would also suggest that your seeming defence of him merely serves to cast doubt about you and your motives - or are you defending him just because he purports to be a Rangers fan? This is the Celtic board and as was said by an earlier poster, anyone should be welcome to contribute to a thread on here - just as I would hope anyone is welcome to contribute to a thread on your home board. A virtual impossibility I know, but it would also be intellectually stimulating to find that minds were open to acceptance of a reasoned argument. However, I, for one, do not intend to start threads on the Rangers board as my interest is foremost in Celtic. I realize, it is probably far too much to expect that reasoned discussion will prevail but I live in hope!
That last post actually made sense from you and maybe you will be surprised to hear that when I first got this account I posted a thread about how we should keep it to just light hearted banter which I feel I do. However you may be right in saying some people on both sides go beyond a reasoned argument and I hope that when the season starts the banter is light and funny however from past experience it is only HOPE as bigots and idiots from both sides will spoil it. I do still stand by I want Lennon out though lol.
I'll correct this for you. Bigots and idiots exist in your camp, not ours, no matter how you would like to deflect it and try to share the blame with us. We don't sing songs about killing Protestants, your fans sing about killing Catholics though. Our fans didn't get us a UEFA fine, our fans got us a UEFA and FIFA award. We went to our UEFA Cup final and showed the world how football fans should behave, you went to Manchester and rioted. We weren't the people who burned scarves because we signed an ex-rangers protestant, on the other hand............. Do you catch my drift. Don't even think of dragging us down to your level
I'm not in the least surprised you want Neil out - so far, he's proven to be an excellent manager, who has motivated a team of practically all new players to push your lot right to the wire. I don't know of any other manager who has brought in a team of virtually all new players and who did so well in the first season together. (Tony Mowbray certainly didn't manage it!) But as I recall, Spurs tried it a few years ago and struggled very badly in the first half of the season - they just managed to get under half-way up the table at the end. So I'm afraid (but pleased) to say you're going to be faced with Neil for some time to come! Anyway, roll on the new season!
Pal I have had this argument a million times before and every time I have won because you have made many errors in that quote, now I'll give you a chance to tell me your fans have'nt behaved in disgraceful ways, otherwise I will embarass you and prove you wrong.
In all honesty and you may not like me for saying it, I believe Strachan had you playing better football I might be wrong but I still don't think Lennon has what it takes to build something.
