David De Gea has been nominated, he's also on the young player and players player of the year award shortlist as well.

    Anyway, on topic.

    Costa and Coutinho? Ludicrous.

The clue is in the word YEAR.

The football writers one is the realistic one, I'd be surprised if those two were in that.

Would save a lot of faff if they gave the awards to Hazard and Kane now.

Matth, who do you think deserves to win?

Surely Balotelli? 1 league goal, 0 assists. He would have been more use to Liverpool if he'd been playing for another team. Comically bad signing, could be the transfer that costs Brenda his job.

His goals and assists suggest he has contributed to a top 4 finish. Balo on the other hand...he's contributed to another decade in the wilderness and probably got his manager the sack as he's not proven to be a great replacement for Suarez. Balo is my all time favourite Liverpool player.

So it's settled then. Di Maria wins best value for money award. When will Rodgers be sacked? If so who will replace him?

Tim Sherwood's won a couple of games so if Liverpool stick to their flavour of the month strategy he's a shoe in to replace Rodgers plus £25million for Benteke and £20million for Delph.

If the RS have any sense they will get rid of Brenda and appoint Klopp. I honestly cant see them getting that cherished first premiership title with Brenda in charge.

Di Maria could come good next season. He already has a great number of assists.

At the time of the purchase I said United was in such dire straits that every player purchased was overvalued by more than 50%. He was probably worth about £40-45m and not £60m. Did that "loss" make me lose any sleep? That the ****ing GGs were fleeced by Madrid? I have been crying in my beer since then...<laugh>

Costa is still joint top scorer and has been consistent all year bar a few injuries. Coutinho over Fabregas, Terry, Rooney and Aguero though? Not for my money.

Hazard will win and young player will either be Kane or De Gea. How a player can be best player but not also best young player (if they qualify) seems a bit silly though.

Tia Maria got a lot of assist at Real too. Some call it 'giving it to Ronaldo'. ;)

Yep value for money, 60 mil and a million quid a month for a bunch of yellows for diving, a scaldy few assists and goals that mostly were not game winners.

Almost as value for money as Failcao at £6 million pounds per goal scored <laugh>

    Balo, 4 goals Failcao, 4 goals <laugh>

De Gea was crucial in the chase for 4th as he took up the slack when the defence was not playing well. Di Maria? <doh> Felllaini was more important than Dive Maria.

Anyway Hazard is nailed on for the poty and Kane the ypoty

    Di maria - P23 S3 A10

13 goals and assists in 23 games. £4.6million per contribution.

    Balotelli P16 S1 A0

1 goal in 16 games. £16million per contribution.

Even at his worst, Di Maria is 4 times the player Mario is. At least you now know who is better value for money <whistle>

I know maths isnt a strongpoint of yours but Balotelli has 1 goal.

Thats 1. One. Not 4. 4 is a different number to 1. Confusing I know.

His one goal cost 16million. <ok>
