testing someone for £24 million? Biggest PL flop ever

I would not be shocked if we bought him at a reduced fee, he could still be one of the top strikers in the premier league

testing someone for £24 million? Biggest PL flop ever
[HASHTAG]#fail[/HASHTAG]

I would not be shocked if we bought him at a reduced fee, he could still be one of the top strikers in the premier league![]()

He's been a disaster and given the cost a much bigger disaster than balo. as I said, Balo, 16 mil for 4 years, so he's got plenty of time to add to that tally, Failcao will get few starts and probably wont score between now and the end of the season.
4 goals for 24 million quid spent is a flop of epic proportions and no amount of "potential" is going to change that m'lad![]()

So, how much will Balo cost in wages over 4 years?
If Falcao got back to 75% of how he was then the cost would be well worth it![]()

Yes but I can guarantee you it will be less wages than Failcao got in a year plus his goal return over 3 or 4 years will be a smidgen over 4 goals in total.
6 meeelion pounds for a goal. Disasterous business. Yer now every bit as bad as City Monaco or PSG throwing money around.
The boasts of net spend will be a distant memory, 200 m last season and another 150 m this season it seems and after slating City and Chelsea for years, you are all now loving the spend mentality, more than a little hypocricy there eh?
Let's be honest. Rodgers should never have taken that gamble on balotelli. Why do you think a club like inter was so keen to get rid of him? And on top for us to offer £16m, the Italians must have thought Xmas had come early.Of course they will, but you don`t need to earn half of Falcao`s wages to top £16m up to £24m
which will mean that in the first year they have both cost the same/goal. The next three years will cost United no further money but Liverpool will continue to pay wages.
We don`t rabbit on about "net spend", we talk about costs.
Its been mooted that Falcao isn't a Van Beavis signing, apparently he was Moyes signing as the deal was already done before the Dutchman arrived.
If he'd have got 20+ this season Van Beavis would have proclaimed his astuteness in signing him.![]()

They'll be blaming the transfer committee next![]()

We don`t have one. Page is obviously wrong also, if he was a Moyes signing he would be one of our top three players this season. All hail Sir David![]()
I know you don't, I was taking the piss out of some of our own posters![]()
gave you away
Correct, buying Falcao and being stuck with him would have been stupid, testing him on 12 month loan made sense![]()

But Balo was a desperate punt, no failcao tho yeah?Balo has 4 goals but he's signed a what 3 or 4 year deal for 16 mil
Failcao is an epic flop, worse than Torres or Carroll, biggest PL flop ever I think
I would not be shocked if we bought him at a reduced fee, he could still be one of the top strikers in the premier league![]()
If he was more like 15million and his wagers lower then yes. Any more and he can go back.
We are in a good position to barter for him. Weve seen what he can do and the level hes now at.
If Monaco think they will get maximum money for him, they are nuts. No chance.
Liverpool fans (the special ones) dont understand what a recovery is and dont have the knowledge required to assess a footballer beyond his basic purpose.
Falcao hasnt scored the goals but hes retained his intelligence. He makes the right runs and finds the right positions but the issue was, we didnt find him. He had very few goal scoring opportunities. Of course he has had some howlers too.
I wouldn't be against him staying, at the right price. He will go through a sturridge style purple patch at some point and we will be able to proclaim him as the best in the league.... Or unlike our Liverpool friends, remain sensible.

Got to love them 18 month purple patches. Interestingly you claim we don't know what a recovery is yet you can't apply the same to Sturridge. UIR logic![]()
