I would not be shocked if we bought him at a reduced fee, he could still be one of the top strikers in the premier league <ok>

He's been a disaster and given the cost a much bigger disaster than balo. as I said, Balo, 16 mil for 4 years, so he's got plenty of time to add to that tally, Failcao will get few starts and probably wont score between now and the end of the season.

4 goals for 24 million quid spent is a flop of epic proportions and no amount of "potential" is going to change that m'lad <laugh>

So, how much will Balo cost in wages over 4 years?
If Falcao got back to 75% of how he was then the cost would be well worth it <ok>

Yes but I can guarantee you it will be less wages than Failcao got in a year plus his goal return over 3 or 4 years will be a smidgen over 4 goals in total.<laugh>

6 meeelion pounds for a goal. Disasterous business. Yer now every bit as bad as City Monaco or PSG throwing money around.

The boasts of net spend will be a distant memory, 200 m last season and another 150 m this season it seems and after slating City and Chelsea for years, you are all now loving the spend mentality, more than a little hypocricy there eh?

Of course they will, but you don`t need to earn half of Falcao`s wages to top £16m up to £24m
which will mean that in the first year they have both cost the same/goal. The next three years will cost United no further money but Liverpool will continue to pay wages.
We don`t rabbit on about "net spend", we talk about costs.

Ballotelli's goals have so far cost Liverpool about 5.5 million per goal. That's 16million for his transfer and about 6million in wages (that's based on 150k a week, which is a figure I plucked out of the air using the Susonomics theory of angry, betrayed financial analysis). As Balotelli has no resale value, when you factor in his wages for the next three seasons and the inevitable pay off to get shot of him this summer, his goals will have cost roughly around £10million each as well as one manager who will insist that the Balotelli transfer was in fact brilliant.

Let's be honest. Rodgers should never have taken that gamble on balotelli. Why do you think a club like inter was so keen to get rid of him? And on top for us to offer £16m, the Italians must have thought Xmas had come early.

Balotelli cost us much more than money. He was bought as one of our main strikers and he has not been around to take over from Sturridge when he was injured. So affecting the team itself. The mancs may have squandered more millions on Falcao but the damage caused to the club by Balotelli is much worse.

We don`t have one. Page is obviously wrong also, if he was a Moyes signing he would be one of our top three players this season. All hail Sir David

I know you don't, I was taking the piss out of some of our own posters :)

But Balo was a desperate punt, no failcao tho yeah? <laugh> Balo has 4 goals but he's signed a what 3 or 4 year deal for 16 mil

Failcao is an epic flop, worse than Torres or Carroll, biggest PL flop ever I think

Falcao doesn't even come close to the biggest flop. Flops have to signed on permanent contracts. Falcao is a failed loan.

Balotelli
Moreno
Lallana
Lovren

There's a list of flops.

Also take note of the spelling of the name. I leave the childish name changes to the young and very special children on the site.

Liverpool fans (the special ones) dont understand what a recovery is and dont have the knowledge required to assess a footballer beyond his basic purpose.

Falcao hasnt scored the goals but hes retained his intelligence. He makes the right runs and finds the right positions but the issue was, we didnt find him. He had very few goal scoring opportunities. Of course he has had some howlers too.

I wouldn't be against him staying, at the right price. He will go through a sturridge style purple patch at some point and we will be able to proclaim him as the best in the league.... Or unlike our Liverpool friends, remain sensible.

If you buy falcao you are nuts

There's bad blood between the guy and van gaal for a start so I can't see it being van gaal buying him

Of course it is true that on the occasion you lot have delivered a ball in the box that falcao said ability is there for all to see especially in the air

But for 250k per week and 50 odd mil?

There's zero work rate, a lot of tears and I'm not sure there is that much pace.

If you think next year he will be awesome fine but be glad your manager knows more than you and will spend half that fee and wages on a belter of a young forward

When you are gushing about said player I will remind you of falcao and you will say who?

If he was more like 15million and his wagers lower then yes. Any more and he can go back.

We are in a good position to barter for him. Weve seen what he can do and the level hes now at.

If Monaco think they will get maximum money for him, they are nuts. No chance.

why would you want though.... this is something LFC would do and end up with him sitting there with a scowl on his face. he's morientes...

Why would you not spend your unlimited funds on the players van gaal actually wants?

15mil wouldn't buy a top players left leg these days unfortunately. you'd only get a joe allen for that.. or a rojo...

Got to love them 18 month purple patches. Interestingly you claim we don't know what a recovery is yet you can't apply the same to Sturridge. UIR logic <doh>
