I'm guessing "verb" was some phone-mangled or podgy-fingered attempt at "Cern".

I did consider that possibility, but wondered why only verbs? Are adjectives, nouns and various other articles of speech exempt from this accusation?

It short-circuited before our match which is why the result was as it was. Injection tests in themselves do not lead to high energy collisions, which is what's required.
