I'm sure a ground share won't happen. Bournemouth must have a plan in place, ready to press the go button at the earliest opportunity.

As long as they were aware of it?? I must admit I was very surprised as was Harry Redknapp when Ben Shephard mentioned it.
I thought the only main ground requirements for PL stadia were that they were all seated?

All the talk is as if Saints would have no choice in the matter....

....surely they could choose not to share grounds if they didn't want to?

We could. Fratton far more likely (this is pure speculation though).

I can't see anything here (page 130 of the handbook onwards) which says that there is a minimum stadium capacity: http://m.premierleague.com/content/...handbooks/premier-league-handbook-2014-15.pdf

Rules in relation to safety standards, accommodating the media etc exist (and I know for a fact that Bournemouth are aware of the need to spend to meet some of this criteria), but yes I can't see anything about stadium capacity - not that I've every sentence of every page, mind.

If stadium capacity isn't an issue they could share with Yeovil while their ground is being upgraded. Only 5,000 seats but better than going to SMS. Only 50 miles away from Bournemouth.

YES....but does that plan entail construction and completion by the middle of August????

As mentioned, I said that the article I linked didn't make it clear. But the Cherries fan who I know has said to me that the ground expansion IS planned to be done fairly quickly, and I suspect also into the season. It's a case of filling up the corners and making that 4th stand bigger.

What I'm saying is, is that I'm providing evidence of intent, not just wondering what they will do.

Just a couple of things that could get interesting.

When Bournemouth have their 'home, match against us, we would only get 10% allocation as the 'away' team.

What with potential Euro qualification, there would be more matches, and having to ground share, the pitch would have greater wear, not helping us whatsoever.

Every weekend there would be a game, and away fans of either the team were playing or who Bournemouth are playing in Southampton City Centre. Great!!

I think the fact that every other weekend their would be a load of Bournemouth idiots in the town centre would be more of a concern.

It amazes me that Bournemouth don't have some plan in place to deal with this.
They've been near the top of the table all season. Why can't every club be as well run as Saints

I definitely think they should think about a plan. Maybe put some more chairs in the stadium. Deckchairs would be nice, to suit their beach resort reputation. Its important they do this. After all the Premier League is better than the Championship. Its madness that they don't even want to play in the Premier League. Why don't they want to?!
