24 shots, 8 of them on target says it all! How many teams do that away from home!

For all the talk of 100 points and 100 goals, it's mad that 90 points and 90 goals might not get you promoted this season.

Alex Neil on now. Quote of the interview: "You've got to go for it"! He certainly did that!

Hoops will a little dig on Grabban not scoring his chance.

    Yes, I heard that!!

I'm beginning to think that it is going to be at least 87/88 points for automatic promotion and Friday's game has now become MUST watch for fans of all the teams around us!!!

PS - The Fulham game is already sold out!!!

Hamilton lost again today. 4pts from 36 since Neil left, kind of feel sorry for them but it goes to show what a great manager Alex Neil is. I must admit when he came here I thought we'd get to the play offs at best, but never thought we would be challenging for the top 2. But happily I'm glad I was proven wrong.

If Watford DO catch us on GD, they would be 2nd, as they have scored more goals and have more wins!!! <yikes>

Mathematically yes, but I think it's fairly safe to say that the team to get 90 points will win the league.

The end of season form has been absolutely incredible across the board - very few dropped points. I think it is partly because at the beginning of the season so many teams at the top of the table were inconsistent. From where we were four months ago, I am very surprised that it will probably take 88/9 points for autos. I thought it was going to be four points or so less than that.

88/89 for autos is pretty normal for the Champ though I think. It's just we've been behind average until this point

The top 4 teams can all hit 90 points, although as we play boro, only 3 can make it by that does mean that a team could get to 90 and miss out. Generally I do expect points to be dropped though.

We were lucky today, and I don't mean winning, Watford could have put 4 or 5 past Millwall and put themselves 2nd. As it was they on,y narrowed the gap by 1.

Need. A higher conversion rate though - or shooting only when there is a better chance of success!

Their keeper had a really good game today. But for that the score could have been far more comfortable.

That has to be true. I saw another form table since Neil came in - I think we've won four more points than any other team

I've only collated data for the top 4 teams!!!

    upload_2015-4-12_6-51-8.png

Pretty impressive stuff and we've only drawn 3 (one of those was the foul on JR for the Derby goal) and lost 2 in those 18 games!! <ok>

PS - Our 2 defeats have been at home!!!! <doh>

That looks right, I think the table I saw we were four points better than maybe Forest and/or Wolves, who have both been on good runs in the second half.

We've been so poor at home - our away form is the best in the division and if we had even come close to matching the likes of Boro or Watford's home form, we would be comfortable.

Frightening isn't it Rob?. It's impossible to call right now. At the start of the season I suspect most fans would have taken a more or less guaranteed play off spot. Nice to have the prospect of something better but it's a bugger on the nerves!

we might be second, but i think without doubt we are the best team in the championship. still think it will be us and bournemouth 1st and second. bournemouth top because of their run in,us runners up.the attitude of the squad is unreconisable from the end of last season. must come from the manager. in retrospect,a supurb appointment
