    it is quite funny.

the lad just signed a new deal. even a player with a year left would cost 20mil.

I'm just surpirsed and editor allowed that story out cos nobody will buy that paper to read that.

Manchester City want to sign three players from Liverpool - 22-year-old playmaker Philippe Coutinho, 20-year-old forward Raheem Sterling and midfielder Jordan Henderson, 24. (Daily Star)

this si the full story of course.

the editor of this paper wans his head examining cos i doubt barring interent service he's going to make a penny off this

    why?

it'd be cheaper to buy LFC than to buy these 3 players.

sell one if we have to (Sterling) but no others. Rodgers needs to be strengthening his squad.

it would be utter madness to even hint of selling coutinho

  6. That would be a massive loss but would anyone consider it for the right price and what would that sum be? £150m...?

200 mil, same as fsg paid for the whole club

    Ibe replaces sterling

Henderson just out can in and buy a forrest gump type to run about

Coutinho is a bit harder but seeing rodgers tried to replace him with lallana already it seems we are "well served"

My advice to fsg is to use funds to reduce debt, build stadium and then today milners massive useless wage

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool star Raheem Sterling and Arsenal's Theo Walcott set for STUNNING swap
RAHEEM STERLING and Theo Walcott are being lined up for a sensational summer swap deal.

By David Woods, Chief Football Writer / Published 9th April 2015
Starsport can reveal that Liverpool and Arsenal are considering a stunning deal which would give the two England stars the fresh starts they both feel they need.
Liverpool are likely to want at least £20m for star man Sterling plus Gunners winger Walcott for the exchange to go through.
Walcott could have joined Liverpool last summer as part of a proposed deal which would have taken Luis Suarez to Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was willing to let Walcott go then but Suarez opted for Barcelona instead.
Now a similar exchange is on the cards with Londoner Sterling, 20, interested in a move back to the capital and Walcott falling out of favour at the Emirates.

SWAP DEAL: Sterling could be about to join Arsenal [GETTY]
Sterling has two years left on his contract but has told Liverpool he does not want to enter any negotiations until the summer, having turned down a new deal worth £100,000-a-week.
Brendan Rodgers faces a battle to convince Sterling he should stay at Anfield with his side struggling to qualify for Champions League football next season.
It is understood he remains a fan of Walcott, who was an unused substitute as the Gunners thrashed Liverpool 4-1 last Saturday.
Walcott, 26, and his representatives are due to hold talks with Wenger within the next week, with his contract having just one full season left.
Sterling made it clear he was keen on a move to the Emirates when he said he was "flattered" to be linked with the Gunners in an interview last week which Liverpool did not sanction.
Walcott is also aware his career is stalling at Arsenal and a swap deal looks increasingly like being the best solution for all sides.
Wenger said yesterday that Arsenal are not under pressure to sell any of their stars after midfielder Jack Wilshere was linked with a move to Manchester City.
Star names Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna have all been flogged in recent years.

STUNNING DEAL: Walcott could be heading to Liverpool [GETTY]
But Wenger said: "We are not in a position anymore where we have to sell our best players.
"When we had the period of restricted finances we had to sell the players when they started to perform - from 18-23.
"You pay for experience. A player becomes a player at 23 or 24. But if you have to sell them at that age then you just feel you work for the other clubs"

Meh.... The papers have not got much to write about

Sterling will be wall to wall now so I hope he enjoys! He brought it on himself

For the record I'm not picking him again in prediction league as I think he'll do nothing for rest of season now

    just a word on walcott

Arsneals best formation has giroud up top and ozil, carzorla and sanchez behind him.... walcott is just an older version of sterling. He is not getting into that line up IMO. Sterling therefore should not be able to displace those three either, again IMO. they are arsenals real quality.

If sterling is bought by arsenal it'll be more than 20mil cash plus walcott but most of all... they'd be buying a sub.

Walcott is by far a better finisher but doesn't have the intelligence to play anywhere other than wide or up top. Couldn't drop I to a 10 like sterling.

However, he'd be a better CF for us than any one else we have. He'd actually be very good there for us given his pace.

Id take him and oxlade-chamberlain in a straight swap <ok>

  15. Cazorla is 30 now though so Wenger will be looking to replace him sooner rather than later

I'd be happy with the swap if it wasn't for Walcott's recent injury record. Basically Sterling seems to have grown way too big for his rather average boots so if someone else is daft enough to pay him more than a £100 grand a week then more fool them.

True. Without his injuries he'd be a very good player as he can contribute 10 goals a season from wide.

Sterling could be great, or he could be average. either way, with his current form, he's replaceable - let's not kid ourselves. I don't think we will sell to a British club out of principle, but any more than £35million from Europe and I think he's a gonner.

    #3998
  19. So you preferred his old injury record? <whistle>
